Former Little Mix star Jesy Nelson has been hospitalized since March with twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS). As per the Cleveland Clinic, TTTS is a pregnancy condition that disrupts blood flow between identical twins.
Jesy Nelson took to TikTok on May 3, sharing an update with her fans on her condition while asking for their advice on what color to dye her hair. In the video, Jesy can be seen lying in a hospital bed while telling her fans:
"When I first come out of hospital, one of the first things I wanna do is dye my barnet. First of all because...(makes grunting noise) get your greys out for the lads!'
She then went on to add:
"Second of all, I feel like I've been this colour for like, quite a while now. I don't feel like it's ginger anymore, it's just like a washed out auburn. So Zion wants me to go like a browny-blonde. And I just don't know. I don't know what suits me, so I want your advice. What like hair colour do you actually love on me best. I can't decide."
The singer and her boyfriend, Zion Foster, had announced news of their pregnancy earlier this year.
What happened to Jesy Nelson
In March 2025, Jesy Nelson took to social media to announce that she had been expecting twins who were "living off one placenta which can lead to complications." The singer highlighted that the condition can lead to one twin taking all the nutrients, causing both of them to possibly die.
In March, the singer had mentioned that she would be undergoing surgery:
"I’ve been feeling a bit poorly the past few days, been having a few symptoms that I need to watch out for which is like my belly tightening, struggle breathing, so today we came into the hospital to have a check up basically, just in case.
In the video, Nelson can be seen breaking down, as her boyfriend, Zion, comforts her. Nelson mentioned that the surgery was an important procedure to give "the best chance" of survival to her babies, but worried about a worst-case scenario.
Jesy Nelson also informed her followers that she was currently "pre-stage TTTS" at the time, and was being "monitored being closely" and had to be scanned twice a week.
She also informed that every time she has been scanned, her condition got "a little bit worst" and she wanted to raise awareness about the condition.
Jesy and Zion had been dating on-and-off since 2022, after initially meeting through mutual.
