Regarding her divorce settlements with former NFL player Jay Cutler, Kristin Cavallari recently averted questions surrounding her divorce settlement claims at LAX. The Laguna Beach alum, who tied the knot to Cutler in 2013, has stayed consistent with her claims of not receiving any settlement from the divorce, while the former quarterback has denied her claims.

Kristin Cavallari was questioned by a TMZ reporter at Los Angeles International Airport on Friday over Cutler's criticism of her earnings claims. The 38-year-old former reality star refused to answer and kept walking.

The focus on Cavallari stems from her statement that she made in June on the Honestly Cavallari: The Headline Tour. She said:

“I didn’t get any money from our divorce, so let’s just clear that up. Thank you.”

In a Take It Outside podcast episode from August, 42-year-old Cutler discussed the issue. Kristin Cavallari's statement, he said, was deceptive and gave an incorrect account of their divorce process. As reported by TMZ, he said:

“Let’s think about this logically. ‘Not a penny.’ OK. Married for, I don’t know, seven years or so, three kids.”

He added:

“You can go and see how much I made in the NFL. It’s online. You can see the contract from year to year and the total amount at the end of 12 years. So, you go to divorce and each side gets a lawyer and then you go to court and there’s a judge.”

During his 12 years in the NFL, the former quarterback for the Chicago Bears made over $120 million. He explained that there was a judge present during the hearing. He called her claims “irresponsible,” “reckless”, and “borderline slander.” He added:

“It’s insanity. It’s completely false, completely untrue. It is, it just is. I’ve got a divorce decree. I’ve got something that’s signed by the judge — it’s like, 67 pages — it says the number breakdown.”

He even stated that Kristin Cavallari's business, which includes her lifestyle brand Uncommon James, was started during their marriage, so they're considered marital assets.

In 2020, Kristin Cavallari and Cutler made their separation public, and in 2022, their divorce was completed. Cutler maintained that it was "definitely not zero," though the correct amount of the settlement is unknown.

They share three children, the eldest being Camden, who is of age 13, followed by Jaxon, who is 11 years old and then finally Saylor, who is 9 years old.

Kristin Cavallari's ex-husband's recent DUI

Other than his divorce, Cutler is dealing with legal troubles after he pleaded guilty to one count of minor DUI in Franklin, Tennessee, related to his arrest in October 2024, and was given a four-day prison term, according to TMZ.

Along with his time in jail, he was also asked to pay a fine of $350, complete a DUI safety course, and serve one year of supervised probation.

After Cutler consented to give up the firearm, a second charge of possessing a firearm while intoxicated was dropped.

According to the affidavit obtained by E! News, the police stated that his speech was "thick-tongued, slurred and mumbled," with "bloodshot eyes" and had a heavy alcohol stench.

Cutler eventually acknowledged to drinking "a little bit," despite denying it at the beginning.

Neither Cavallari nor her representatives have commented on Cutler's comments.

Cavallari keeps herself busy with her business and media ventures, while Cutler is focusing on his podcast as he deals with his DUI charges.
