According to reports, Jeff Coby, 31, and Larsa Pippen, 50, initially crossed paths at David Alexander's DBC Fitness gym's tenth anniversary party. In January 2025, ZZ's Club in Miami hosted the VIP event where Alexander played the role of Cupid and introduced them. The couple is planning to tie the knot in November.
At first, the couple chose to date discreetly and kept their relationship a secret, as they didn't move in together and stayed in their respective residences. But it didn't take long for their chemistry to become well-known.
Pippen's appearance with Jeff Coby at Marysol Patton's birthday celebration in Miami in March 2025 contradicted her October 2024 assertion that she was still unmarried and taking a break from dating. The two showed that their relationship had progressed beyond simple friendships as they walked hand in hand into the exclusive Maple & Ash.
The couple's formal red carpet debut occurred in April when The Accountant 2 debuted at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles. Photos from the event, which was followed by a steamy yacht kiss, stoked rumors that this was more than just a rebound relationship following her breakup with Marcus Jordan in February 2024.
She revealed why she kept it all under wraps in an interview with E! News in October:
"I feel like my last relationship was on display from day one. If I do meet someone, I'm going to take my time and get to know them initially before I get to be on center street with the person, because I feel like it's hard to get to know someone when it's public. It's so challenging."
She continued:
"If you're just meeting someone, you don't necessarily know if you guys are even going to get along or if you guys if there's longevity in it. But as soon as it's put out there, it's like you're linked to this person forever. People always want to make more of it than it actually is, so I want to be more careful this time around and not necessarily share too much in the beginning."
The television personality shares kids with her ex-husband, Scotty Pippen. They are Scotty Pippen Jr., 24; Preston Pippen, 23; Justin Pippen, 20; and Sophia Pippen, 16.
Jeff Coby's bold marriage reveal
Jeff Coby was surrounded by paparazzi outside a Miami event in early May, the rumours only got more intense. He declared without hesitation:
“We’re getting married 2025-6...We’re getting married. It’s gonna be a beautiful marriage. November 2025.”
Larsa didn't confirm the news out loud, but her facial expression and language gave the impression that the pair could be preparing something significant.
“I can’t tell you when I’m gonna propose.”
Jeff Coby said with a smile when asked whether he had already proposed.
Despite not being a household NBA name, the Haitian-American forward has a solid basketball history. Born on February 4, 1994, in Pembroke Pines, Florida, Jeff Coby played collegiately at Columbia University before going overseas, as he was not drafted in the year 2017, most recently in Luxembourg in 2019. He was also invited to training camp by the Austin Spurs of the NBA G-League.
Although Coby's career seems quieter than Pippen's previous partners, Scottie Pippen, the six-time NBA Champion and Hall of Famer and Marcus Jordan, player for the UCF Knights during his college days, who also happens to be the son of basketball legend Michael Jordan.
Jeff Coby offers a new dynamic, as there is more stability and less public pressure.
Lara has indicated that she would like to be married again. In her interview with E! News, she revealed:
"I liked being married. I like marriage. I feel like it's great. I feel like it's great to be able to build with someone, plan the future with someone. So, marriage to me is kind of important."
So it remains to be seen whether this time she gets married for the second time or not, as the marriage talks also took place when she was with Marcus Jordan, whom she left because of his partying habits.
