When did Michelle Monaghan and Peter White get married? Actress recounts filming Tom Cruise kissing scene on her honeymoon

Michelle Monaghan and Peter White have been married since August 12, 2005. During an appearance on the June 11 episode of Jimmy Fallon's The Tonight Show, the The White Lotus actress recalled making out with her Mission: Impossible III co-star Tom Cruise, while being on a honeymoon with her husband Peter White.

The actress revealed that after getting married in Peter White's home country of Australia, the two didn't have time for a honeymoon, since they had to start filming the movie,

"And we didn't have time for a honeymoon because we had to start filming, I think, three days later. So we flew back to LA. I get my call sheet for my very first day on Mission. And of course, as luck would have it, it's an intimate scene with Tom Cruise."

The actress recounted being nervous about shooting the scene, but White encouraged her, asking her "not to worry about it. Just follow his lead. He's such a professional."

While talking about having to work on her honeymoon, Michelle Monaghan said that one of her first scenes required her to make out with Tom Cruise. She opened up about how her husband reassured her:

"I get up at 4 a.m. I dart out of the hotel, I forget my key, of course. And I go to work, and I proceed to have the best day with Tom and J. J. Abrams, our director. And I come home later that evening. I have to knock on the door, of course. And I walk in back into the hotel, and my husband said, 'Baby, how did it go?"

After telling White that the shoot was "amazing", Michelle said his response was:

"Brush your teeth and tell me all about it."

During that moment, Michelle also reflected on her decision of marrying White, referencing his reaction to the entire scenario and said,

"I married the right dude."

While speaking to Women's Health in 2010, the actress revealed that she met Peter White at a New York City bar in 2000, when the two were having drinks with their friends. Monaghan had earlier mentioned that White's blue eyes and mohawk caught her attention and she asked him out the next day.

After a few years of dating, the two tied the knot in August, 2005 in Port Douglas, Queensland. The two share two children. Willow, 16, and Tommy, 11.
