Muni Long, who was diagnosed with Lupus back in 2014, recently announced that she would be exiting The Boy is Mine tour amid rising health problems. According to The Neighborhood Talk, Long took to her Instagram on Saturday, November 29, to share the news,

adding that it is no longer possible for her "to continue with the remaining dates of the tour."

She wrote:

"As many of you know, I’ve been battling some health issues throughout ‘The Boy Is Mine Tour.’ Despite doing everything I can to push through, my doctors have made it clear that it’s not save for me to continue with the remaining dates of the tour. I'll truly miss seeing you all out there, and I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity."

Muni Long, whose real name is Priscilla Renea Hamilton, recently began appearing as a guest performer on The Boy is Mine tour, which began last month. The tour, headlined by singers Monica and Brandy, kicked off with a performance in Cincinnati, Ohio.

More about Muni Long's diagnosis, as she announces exit from ongoing tour

Muni Long's recent announcement about her progressing diagnosis comes a little more than a month after she released her latest song Delulu, on October 17. According to People Magazine, she also released a skit for the song earlier this week, on Monday, October 24, featuring a well-known Mariah Carry impersonator.

This is not the first time Muni Long has had to cancel a concert because of her Lupus diagnosis. Back in January, Long announced that she had to cancel a performance at a college football playoff due to her condition. In an interview with People Magazine, the R&B singer explained more about her diagnosis and said:

"As a Black woman, when I go to the doctor, they never listen,” Long begins, when asked how the illness affects her day-to-day. “They don't believe you. So it's hard to tell them, ‘Hey, I'm in a lot of pain.’ They're like, ‘OK, cool. Go get this blood work."

She further added:

"I'm like, 'OK, but that's going to take you like a week [to get the results back.] I'm in excruciating pain. Is there anything you can do?’ And then it just becomes a thing of like they put down on your chart [something] like, ‘Oh, you're asking for medication.’ It's just so, so hard navigating with the way that the health care system is set up."

According to Cleveland Clinic, Lupus is an autoimmune condition that causes inflammation of the joints and muscles in the body, leading to damage to the skin and other organs. Muni Long had previously revealed in an interview that her Lupus condition had been exacerbated because she had previously suppressed her autism diagnosis.
