Renée Taylor and Austin Pendleton to star in When Robert Met Judith

Emmy Award-winning actress and writer Renée Taylor and Tony-nominated artist Austin Pendleton are coming together for the short film When Robert Met Judith.

The film is about a guy named Robert (played by Pendleton) who is an old man living in a nursing home. He is going through a monotonous life, which changes after he meets Judith (played by Taylor). She is also a resident of the home and has a warm personality.

When Robert Met Judith is helmed by Yaniv Rokah while Yechezkel Zach Greenberger has written the script. Roi Vadai, Christine Sheaks and Jerry Silverhardt are the producers. Tristan Cohen and Ari Rothschild are the directors of photography. Interestingly, Sheaks was a part of the casting team of films like Red Rock West and Paul Thomas Anderson's Magnolia and Boogie Nights. Jerald J. Silverhardt is serving as the executive producer.

Talking to Deadline about the film, Rokah stated:

“This film is deeply personal for me. I wanted to create something intimate, tender and emotionally resonant, capturing how love and connection can arrive at any stage of life — even in its final chapters. With a phenomenal cast led by Renée Taylor and Austin Pendleton, the project balances poignancy with humor and celebrates the resilience of the human spirit.”

Renée Taylor started out in the 1950s by acting in improvisation groups. In the next decade, she started performing in a nightclub. Taylor has acted in films like Jennifer on My Mind, All I Want for Christmas, Dying on the Edge and Ice Age: The Meltdown. She has also done several short films in different genres.
