Tyrese Haliburton, the Indiana Pacers star, has announced his engagement to long-term girlfriend Jade Jones, who has been his partner since 2019. Their romance started in college, and now it comes to a full circle as he proposed to her at Iowa State's Hilton Coliseum.

Tyrese Haliburton and Jade Jones first met in 2019 at Iowa State University, where Haliburton was a rising star on the basketball team while Jones was an education major and cheerleader. Their college romance blossomed quickly as they both supported each other.

They made their relationship official in April 2019. Over the years, they've shared snippets of their journey on social media, from match day photos to anniversary posts; they've shared everything with their fans.

Jones has been with Haliburton for six years now. She's been with him since the very start, from the NCAA to the NBA. She backed him when he was first drafted by the Sacramento Kings, celebrated when he was transferred to the Indiana Pacers, and cheered him on when he became a two-time NBA All-Star and Olympic gold champion in Paris 2024.

Tyrese Haliburton, now 25, has frequently expressed thanks for Jones' continuous support. In April 2025, the pair commemorated their sixth anniversary with heartfelt Instagram posts. Haliburton wrote:

“6 years, countless memories, and a lifetime to go. I fall for you more every day."

While Jones wrote:

"6 whole years of loving you. Every single day you continue to amaze me!! You make this world shine so incredibly bright and I’m so lucky to spend life by your side. You are so special to me, our love is one in a million- My best friend forever & ever!! I love you 🫶🏼🥹."

Tyrese Haliburton's proposal

Tyrese Haliburton proposed to Jones at Iowa State's Hilton Coliseum on 28 July 2025. The very same place where it began for them. Haliburton got down on one knee on the center court despite having a ruptured Achilles that he injured during the NBA Finals. He was wearing a surgical boot as he knelt at the center with red roses on the court with huge letters spelling out “Will you marry me?” which were glowing.

Haliburton's Instagram post included multiple photographs of the emotional event, including Jones' surprise, the pair embracing, and her displaying the ring with red and white polka dot nails. He captioned the photo:

“The place where our story started, and where our next chapter begins.”

To which Jones commented, “Future Mrs. What the Hali.” which is a reference to Rob49's song "WTHelly."

Jones is known for being Haliburton's biggest supporter. Making her a favorite in her own right. She has been in almost every game to cheer for the NBA star; she can be spotted at the courtside at Pacers games, and she even flew to Paris during the Olympics in 2024.
