Brought to the audience by Amazon, the documentary will exclusively open in theaters on January 30, 2026, after which it will be available on Prime Video accompanied by a three-episode docuseries. The streaming platform has reportedly paid $40 million for the package, and Melania is listed as one of the executive producers for the project.

Amazon’s upcoming Melania Trump documentary is already stirring up conversation before a single frame has dropped. The streaming giant confirmed that filming began in December 2024, marking the first time Melania has opened her world to cameras since leaving Washington.

Billed as offering “unprecedented behind-the-scenes” access, the documentary will follow Melania’s return to the White House as First Lady once again. It’s also her first major public project since her bestselling memoir Melania and her digital photography series chronicling the 2024 campaign.

The documentary’s existence also highlights a dramatic thaw between Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and President-elect Donald Trump.
