Amazon MGM officially greenlit the project in October this year. Jamie Babbit will be taking over the directorial responsibilities from Lopez. Red, White & Royal Blue 2 is being produced by Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Lopez and Jennifer Salke under the banners of Berlanti Schechter Films and Sullivan Street Productions.
