Where is Oliver Hudson’s biological dad? Actor says stepdad Kurt Russell “made me the man I am”

Carolina Moon actor, Oliver Hudson, during US Weekly's first episode of the video series Just Like Us, opened up about his relationship with his stepfather, the veteran actor Kurt Russell. The 49-year-old Oliver, who gained significant public attention after starring in TV shows like Rules of Engagement and Nashville, during his recent interview claimed that it was his stepfather, Russell, who turned him into the man that he is today.

While Russell is Oliver Hudson's stepfather, the Grown Ups 2 actor's biological father is actor and musician Bill Hudson. His mother, actress and producer Goldie Hawn, shared Oliver with Bill. It was Kurt and Goldie who raised Oliver after she split from Bill in 1982. Goldie and Bill got married in 1976. During Oliver's recent interview with US Weekly, while talking about his stepdad, Kurt, he said:

"He made me the man that I am, 100 percent. I find that I am doing the same thing with my kids."

While Oliver Hudson discussed his relationship with the Escape from New York actor, Russell, the netizens became interested in knowing where his biological father, Bill, is these days. According to US Weekly, as cited by People, Oliver and Bill, who had been estranged for a long time, are now in touch and are "getting along great right now". Oliver said:

"We're in contact now more than ever. I text with him almost every other day now. We're talking about a few little projects together. Yeah, it's been great. I think it's important, very important."

Oliver Hudson and Bill reconnected with each other after the Scream Queens actor shared an Instagram post in 2015 on Father's Day, in which he shared a picture of himself as a young boy with a caption that read "Happy abandonment day...." Oliver Hudson told Us Weekly:

"I posted something and I was trying to be funny and it was a bit dark, and it just set off this firestorm that I wasn't expecting. But it definitely brought us together."

Oliver went ahead and said:

"We've had amazing conversations, amazing lunches, throwing back some beers and crying and sort of understanding each other more and more. It was really beautiful, honestly, to sit down with him and look at my reflection, in a way."

He further added:

Bill "made me; I'm half of that dude, and I don't see that in Kurt, to be fair, because he's not biological. So when I look at my dad, he looks a lot like me. The way he thinks about life is a lot like mine. The way he operates — it was just so interesting. It's been a really nice reunion."

Oliver Hudson shares how he has Kurt Russell's mannerisms

Oliver Hudson, who is married to actress Erinn Bartlett, with whom he shares a daughter, Rio, and two sons, Bodhi and Wilder, mentioned during his US Weekly interview that he has similar mannerisms to Kurt Russell. Oliver said:

"It's funny because, obviously, Kurt's not my blood father, but I have a lot of his mannerisms, the way that I get angry, the was that I get excited. He's just got so much life force in him. When he loves, he loves hard. When he laughs, he laughs hard."

"I take that a lot - I'm weirdly getting emotional - his life force. When I get big, I find my inflections, the way that I speak, very similar to him."
