Aidan Zingg passed away following a crash at the Mammoth Mountain MX event that happened in California on Saturday, June 28, 2025, according to DirtbikerLover.

Following his untimely death, the motocross prodigy’s elder sister honored him with a heartfelt social media post. Alexandria “Alex” Zingg shared multiple pictures of Aidan on Facebook and Instagram and dedicated a message to her younger brother.

According to a September 2024 post from SCRCHA (Southern California Reined Cow Horse Association) Youth, Alex is a horse rider and a youth liaison co-chair. Last year, she was a senior in high school. At the same time, she is also a full-time employee of Temecula, California-based The Roy Group, which specializes in “reined cow and cutting horses.”

Alex and her horse, Uno Im Smart (aka Teddy), have also been seen at shows and competitions within NRCHA (National Reined Cow Horse Association) and SCRCHA circuits. At the same time, she has also seemingly endorsed CR Ranchwear, an apparel brand. Additionally, the 18-year-old Alexandria (born in February 2007) is an aspiring cowhorse trainer.

For those unaware, Alex and Aidan Zingg were born to a Hemet, California-based couple—Shari and Bob. According to House & Whips, Bob was once a racer himself and trained his son at their family garage. Aidan Zingg’s mother, Shari, was also supportive of her child’s motocross career.

Apart from Alex and Aidan Zingg, Shari and Bob are also parents to Bobby. Based on his Instagram profile, Bobby Zingg is also into off-road motorcycle racing, but he hasn’t uploaded anything since June 2022.

Alexandria penned a heartfelt tribute to younger brother Aidan Zingg

As mentioned, the motocross star was involved in a fatal crash during an off-road race on Saturday. Amidst all the condolences from the internet users, Aidan Zingg’s sibling, Alex, also shared an emotional message for him. Alexandria started by mentioning the brother-sister squabbles.

“The things I could say. The stories I could tell. It’s been a day and I feel like it’s been a lifetime. My heart is completely broken. You used to joke that I was so old and that I’d die first, I would always joke that you were crazy and you’d be the first. Now I’m sitting here wishing with everything that I am that you were right so I’d never have to live a day without you.”

Alex reflected on Aidan’s absence from the rest of her life while sharing how, despite her plans, “God had a different plan.” She continued,

“I’ll forever find myself longing for that last hug, that last I love you that I never got. You are a light. The vibrancy to every color in my world. I will forever see you in everything I do. Every time I step into the show pen it will be for you.”

She highlighted the void left behind by her brother and promised to “be twice as good, shine twice as bright,” and work harder. Alex wrote,

“It will never fill the space you’ve left but I will do my best to pick up where you left off.”

Alexandria concluded,

“I can’t believe you get to meet Jesus before me. Even now you’re still kicking my butt. I am so incredibly proud of you. You were so incredible that God only needed you here for 16 years to fulfill your purpose and He just couldn’t wait any longer to bring you home. I could write a thousand more things to you, but I’ll save them for my prayers. I love you so much it’s unreal. Fly high but don’t go too far. I love love love you bud.”

Aidan Zingg was just 16 at the time of passing. According to DirtbikeLover, he fell into a corner and was reportedly run over by multiple bikes. The race was eventually red-flagged, but Aidan remained unconscious for two laps. Following the crash, Zingg succumbed to his injuries.
