A social media video clip has revealed that fellow wrestler AJ Mana had advised Raja Jackson to go all out on Stuart Smith, also known as Syko Stu.
The video is from backstage of a KnokX Pro Event in California, posted on social media. The clip allegedly provided evidence that it was on Mana's advice that Jackson launched 20 continuous punches on Syko Stu, rendering him unconscious. In the video, Mana can be heard saying,
"You run in on his sh*t and you f***ing give him his receipt. "You remember what a receipt is."
Mana continued,
""Give him that f***ing receipt, tag his sh*t. And if he's got a f***ing problem with it, I'll run out there. Tag his sh*t."
AJ Mana is an American professional wrestler best known for his appearances in Best of the West Wrestling (BOTW). He competes primarily on the independent wrestling circuit and is billed as "The War-Ready Warrior." Mana has a background in martial arts and is based in Riverside, California.
What happened between Raja Jackson and Syko Stu?
During a KnokX Pro Wrestling event in California on August 23, Raja Jackson allegedly attacked Syko Stu in the wrestling ring. Before the match began, Sty had struck Jackson with a beer can on tape. Jackson was held back and made to calm down.
The two then decided to fight in a staged wrestling show to settle things. The event was live-streamed on Kick. Upon entering the ring, Jackson knocked out Stu and continued to deliver a series of 20 punches in total, rendering him unconscious.
As other wrestlers attempted to pull Jackson off, Stu was rushed to the hospital. As per TMZ, members of the Los Angeles Police Department were also called to investigate the matter.
Raja Jackson's father, UFC star Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, addressed the situation in a tweet, mentioning that he has been informed Stu is "awake and stable." Quinton also apologized on Jackson's behalf to the Kick community and expressed concern for Stu's health.
Quinton's apology comes after Kick banned Raja Jackson from the streaming platform and condemned the violence. Netizens and pro-wrestling fans also took to social media to address the incident, while criticizing Jackson.
KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy in a statement on X noted that what they thought was "supposed to be a planned and agreed upon wrestling spot, "turned into a selfish irresponsible act of violence against Mr. Smith."
