Stella Banderas, the daughter of Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith, married Alex Gruszynski, her long-time partner, in a romantic wedding in Spain on 18 October 2025, in front of family, friends, and Hollywood celebrities. The pair have known each other since preschool.

Alex Gruszynski and Stella Banderas, 29, first met at Wagon Wheel School in Malibu. They then began dating in 2015, before separating in 2019. After going their separate ways, they rekindled their relationship in 2023 after Stella's breakup with film student Eli Meyer.

Stella took to Instagram to share her joy and to announce that she was getting engaged in August 2024:

“I get to hang out with my favorite person on earth forever!”

On Instagram, Melanie Griffith also announced the news, writing:

The wedding took place in Abadía Retuerta estate in Valladolid, Spain, which is renowned for its vineyards and the ambience. Antonio Banderas seemed proud and happy as he toasted the newlyweds, looking sharp in a black tuxedo. Alex donned a black tuxedo to match Stella's exquisite lace off-the-shoulder gown with flowing sleeves.

According to reports, Stella's half-sister Dakota Johnson, her grandmother Tippi Hedren, and her mother Melanie Griffith were among the guests. According to Hola!, other prominent guests included Trudie Styler, Sting's wife, and Malia and Sasha Obama.

Antonio and Melanie have remained close despite their years-long separation, co-parenting their daughter with affection and respect. Both frequently express their support for Stella's accomplishments and for one another in public statements.

Who is Alex Gruszynski?

Alex Gruszynski graduated from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California, Alex started his career as an intern at William Morris Endeavour (WME) and Anonymous Content, two major players in the entertainment industry, before going into business himself.

Gruszynski has maintained a very private life with minimal public presence on social media. He is the CEO and co-founder of Nova, a software platform that links businesses with creative freelancers. He and celebrity photographer Aidan Cullen started this in May 2022. Cullen is known for his work with Katy Perry, Aaron Piper, and Bad Bunny.
