The two-time Academy Award-winning actress, Jodie Foster, turns 63 years old on November 19, 2025. Foster began her acting career quite early, as a child actress. One of her most significant roles as a child actress was in Martin Scorsese's critically acclaimed and Oscar-nominated film Taxi Driver, starring Robert De Niro. As per reports, Foster was just 12 when she played the role of Iris, a prostitute, in the cult classic.

After starting her career in the 70s, Jodie Foster eventually became a renowned figure in Hollywood in the 1980s. Starring in critically acclaimed films such as Jonathan Kaplan's The Accused and Jonathan Demme's The Silence of the Lambs, for which she won the Oscars. Foster cemented her position as a serious performer and artist not only in Hollywood but globally.

As per People, after publicly coming out as a lesbian at the Golden Globes in 2013, Jodie Foster tied the knot with Alexandra Hedison in 2014. According to People, Hedison is a photographer and filmmaker. She has directed the documentary short film ALOK, which premiered in January 2024 at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah's Park City.

While Foster and Hedison usually try to stay away from the public and the media attention, they have never really made any announcement regarding their engagement. According to People Magazine, a source informed the outlet at the time:

"They are very private when they’re around people they don’t know, but when they’re together, it can be like they’re in their own world."

The recipient of multiple prestigious accolades, including four Golden Globe Awards, Jodie Foster, in an interview with People Magazine in October 2025, mentioned how immersed they are when it comes to their artistic endeavors. Foster said:

"We do a lot of chatting, but it's usually about laughing about jokes or football or movies and things like that. So no, I think we're both in awe of each other, so I like to hear what she's doing."

Born to the late actor David Hedison, her mother, Bridget, was also a part of the entertainment industry. While her marriage to Foster was private, Alexandra had previously dated Ellen DeGeneres for four years, from 2000 to 2004.

Besides being a photographer and filmmaker, Jodie Foster's wife, Alexandra Hedison, is also a former actress. She has starred in the sci-fi TV series Prey alongside prominent actress Debra Messing. Hedison has appeared in other TV shows such as Lois & Clark and Melrose Place. While she made her debut as a director in 2005 with the short film In The Doghouse, Alexandra also appeared in the drama series The L Word.
