Who is Ana Amelia Batlle Cabral? SNL's Marcello Hernandez makes red carpet debut with his girlfriend

Marcello Hernandez, known for his role in Saturday Night Live, was spotted on the red carpet with his partner Ana Amelia Batlle Cabral, Just Jared notes. On July 21, the duo attended the premiere of the SNL actor’s new movie, Happy Gilmore 2, in NYC.

Earlier this month, Deuxmoi published a report confirming the person Hernandez was seen with as Cabral. As per her LinkedIn profile, Ana Amelia Batlle Cabral is an architect and furniture designer. She is a freelance project manager and is working on renovating an old house in Greenwich.

She worked as an architect with Taller Frida Escobebo for two years, before which she held the position of Furniture Designer at Speciwomen for less than a year.

Ana Amelia Batlle Cabral holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the Savannah College of Art and Design and a Master’s Degree from Yale University. Cabral also did some volunteer work as a teacher at the Public School Province House.

In 2024, Marcello Hernandez sat down with the hosts of Today, where he was asked about his experience of working in SNL. He replied:

“It’s insane, I think. Every day, you kind of like, you can’t believe you are there, especially for me, I grew up in Miami obviously and when I came to New York early on, I was selling tickets on the street.”

Marcello Hernandez joked that he started as a “barker,” but never expected to reach these milestones in life, as he hoped to do stand-up and go on tour. However, he desired to do his job better.

Looking back on working with Bad Bunny, Marcello Hernandez said the rapper was cool, creative, and took everything seriously. He remembered having lots of conversations with him on the show, especially when he needed Bad Bunny to say several lines in English.

Later, when Marcello Hernandez went to his music video shoot, he learned that Bad Bunny had come up with the whole idea for the video himself. The producer of the video was also from Miami and suggested Marcello join, which ended up working out well. Marcello said he loved the experience. Describing his relationship with his mother, the actor said:

“I am very very close to my mom. My parents got divorced when I was really young and then my stepdad did a lot of travelling so me and my mom were kind of always together and we like to dance now that I am a bit older, we like to drink wine together.”

The hosts then played a video of Hernandez and his mother dancing. The actor said one needed to learn dancing in a Latin family. He joked that if one failed to do so, they would need to find another family.

When asked how his mother felt about Pedro Pascal playing his mother on SNL, Marcello Hernandez said his mom had a great sense of humor and was a big TV fan, so she liked Pedro.

He explained that it was Pedro’s idea to do a sketch where he played Marcello’s mom, who had a certain attitude when he brought a girl home. Marcello said he was thankful to Pedro for doing such a great job.
