Having kept their love affair out of the public eye for almost 5 years, The Script lead singer Danny O'Donoghue has married girlfriend Anais Naing. The pair, who have been together for several years, tied the knot in a ceremony in the UK, with both of them expressing excitement for the things to come.

Anais Naing, who is 30 years of age, is a Frenchwoman from Brittany, a region in Northern France. According to an article by Extra, she has lived in London for years, after moving to the UK for work.

Anais works as an events manager. Not much is known about her other endeavors or family background as Anais leads an extremely private life. Even her Instagram handle is private and has zero posts on it.

The couple supposedly met when they bumped into each other on the streets of London shortly before the COVID-19 lockdown began.

During the lockdown, they supposedly spent a lot of time at each other’s homes, getting to know each other better. Their time together in lockdown, according to Danny O'Donoghue, helped them understand their relationship better.

"It’s funny because we spent longer together in lockdown than we did in real life, We actually live in the same part of London, and up until now we’ve mainly just been hanging out at home." He told Irish Independent.

The couple went public with their relationship when they appeared together at the Pride of Britain Awards in 2021. They had already been dating a couple of years before that, and Danny’s family, especially his mother, had already approved and loved Anais very much.

“My mum loved her, and they offered her lots of tea." Danny said.

Danny got down and proposed to Anais Naing in August 2023 on a trip to Norway, which he described as his "favourite place on earth" amidst the Seven Sisters waterfall. He remembered carrying champagne, food and glasses up a mountain to prepare for the proposal without her suspecting a thing.

"I nearly passed out from exhaustion carrying up all the champagne, glasses and food for if she said yes. I had to do it all without her knowing." He told in an interview with The Sun.

According to Daily Mail, the couple got married in the UK, with Danny wearing a stylish tuxedo and Anais Naing donning a white dress with a full skirt, satin gloves and pearl drop earrings. Their celebration comes at a time when Danny has been battling the mourning of his bandmate and best friend, Mark Sheehan.
