Nicki Minaj is one of the most influential voices in hip-hop of her generation, paving the way for countless women to break through in the genre on the heels of her success. She has become a divisive figure in recent months due to her volatile social media back-and-forth with Cardi B, coupled with some controversial opinions.

In the most recent news about the rapper, author, and conservative-leaning Angela Stanton King recently sang her praises after the two recently met in Los Angeles. After spending time with one another, King took to X with the following message:

“I recently had an amazing time with @NICKIMINAJ at her home in LA. She’s genuinely kind, deserves love and support, and isn’t afraid to stand on what she believes. She’s also been a huge supporter of my child, so yes, I will defend her whenever I see fit. Haters and Snakes can fall back.”

While the nature of their meet-up is currently unclear, it may tie in to King’s well-documented nonprofit work at her organization, Auntie Angie’s House. King’s work aims to address Georgia’s maternal health crisis by providing support, housing, clothing, and more to mothers in need. Nicki Minaj may have partnered with her in some capacity, although the details are currently unknown.

Nicki Minaj gets political support amidst latest beef with Cardi B

In other news, Nicki Minaj’s extremely personal and ongoing feud with fellow artist Cardi B has just become even more layered and politicized. JD Vance, the current Vice President of the United States, made his allegiance in the situation clear when he took to X with the following message:

“Nicki>Cardi”

This was seemingly in response to a string of since-deleted X posts by Nicki Minaj where she seemed to show her support for Vance. Nicki’s tweets began with:

“Vance > Rants”

She then posted:

“Vance > Ants in the pants”

This post featured a picture of 50 Cent alongside the message, who is currently trending for his recent role in putting together Netflix’s new documentary about Diddy and his past crimes. After Minaj addressed the New York rapper, she switched her focus to Gavin Newsom:

“The Vance > The Gav Nots”

Nicki Minaj then punctuated her message thread with the following message for her followers:

“Nothing brings me joy like the Vance memes & knowing he leaned into it like a boss … But make no mistake, Vance is an assassin. Don’t debate him. On anything. Quick as a computer. Maybe quicker.”

It is interesting to note that while Minaj has distanced herself from MAGA in the past, she seems to be keeping a much more open mind as some of her core values seemingly continue to align with the party’s moves.
