It seems like there is some good news for Brandi Carlile’s fans. She will be singing America the Beautiful at the 2026 pregame show of the Super Bowl on February 8, 2026, ABC News reports. Charlie Puth and Coco Jones are scheduled to perform as well. An official from the NFL, Jon Barker, said:

“Super Bowl Sunday is the world’s biggest entertainment stage, and we’re proud to spotlight artists who embody the very best of music and culture. Beyond the game itself, the Super Bowl is a global celebration. These artists bring a distinct voice to the moment, helping set the tone for a day that will captivate fans around the world.”

Regarding the performance, Desiree Perez, CEO of Roc Nation, said:

“Charlie, Brandi, and Coco are generational talents, and we are honored to have them - alongside our extraordinary deaf performers - on Super Bowl LX’s world stage. This moment embodies the very best of culture, live performance, and our country, perfectly kicking off game day.”

Brandi Carlile's spouse is Catherine Shepherd. They met over the phone in 2009 and got married three years later. Their daughter, Evangeline Ruth, was born in 2014. Four years later, they welcomed their second baby, Elijah, in 2018. Brandi Carlile shared an Instagram post about the news. She wrote:

“But all the wonders I have seen, I will see a second time. I am the mother of Elijah.”

Looking back at Brandi Carlile's recent conversation with The Guardian

On November 22, The Guardian published an interview with Carlile. Thinking about a pleasant moment in her life, she said:

“I’m the happiest right now. I can see that I’m in a kind of sweet spot: my parents are alive, my kids are little, my wife is hot and my body doesn’t hurt.”

Brandi Carlile said that she recently had an emotional moment with her kids. They were having a conversation about marriage equality. She mentioned:

“My oldest let slip that she believed that if the supreme court overturned Obergefell, she wouldn’t have parents any more. I felt angry with my country and ashamed that I didn’t consider the possibility that she might think that.”

Brandi Carlile also revealed that she disliked certain qualities in herself. She said those were the fears of embarrassment and self-righteousness. Similarly, she also disliked it when people did not have empathy. One of the questions was about a moment in her life when she felt embarrassed. She said,

“Leaving the stage from a panic attack in my 20s. Hearing the audience angry.”

Speaking about appearances, she said she liked her looks. However, she added that the way she looked might offend the UK law. Her choice between fame and anonymity seemed clear. She said that although she would choose fame, she might not accept the unhealthy parts of it.

Nevertheless, Brandi Carlile said she was sorry for she behaved with certain kids from her school. She mentioned that she was determined to be apologetic about it. Carlile said she would keep an eye on her children to notice such signs.
