Bridgit Mendler, musician, CEO, and more, just shared a glimpse of her life as a CEO with her husband, Griffin Cleverly. According to E! News, the musician shared a rare glimpse into her life as a CEO, as she took NBC correspondent Gadi Schwartz through her company headquarters. In the clip aired on a May 15 episode of Today, the audience can also see her husband alongside her.

Griffin Cleverly is an aerospace engineer, a perfect companion for Mendler, who is looking to revolutionize space. Brigit Mendler and Griffin Cleverly got married in 2019. The couple also adopted a baby boy in 2022 (after fostering him for about a year).

Bridgit Mendler is a well-known name in the entertainment industry with her hit song 'Ready or Not' as well as her roles in works like Good Luck Charlie and Wizards of Waverly Place. But she took a break from acting to pursue education. In 2020, she completed an M.S. in media arts and sciences at MIT, and in 2024, she got her J.D. from Harvard Law. Currently, she is a PhD student at MIT Media Lab.

Mendler is also the CEO of her startup company, Northwood Space, which she co-founded with her husband. According to the company website, Northwood's mission is to,

"Industrialize space – Power the next generation of space to solve real world problems at industrial scale."

All we know about Griffin Cleverly

Griffin Cleverly is an aerospace engineer with a bachelor's in mechanical engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). In 2021, he completed his master's degree in electrical and computer engineering from Johns Hopkins University.

According to People Magazine, Cleverly worked as a research associate at MIT's Space Initiative. He then went on to work for companies including Lockheed Martin and MITRE. Currently, he is the CTO of Northwood Space, a company he co-founded alongside his wife, Bridgit Mendler.

Though it is unclear how Mendler and Cleverly met, he made his first appearance in Mendler's Instagram post in 2017, and two years later, the two got married. According to reports, the startup Northwood was co-founded by Mendler and Cleverly alongside business partner Shaurya Luthra.

While talking with Shwartz about her latest passion regarding her venture in the industry, Mendler shared that,

"Once my eyes were kind of opened up to the ways in which space is so integrated into life on Earth, that's where it really connected for me"

According to People Magazine, Bridgit Mendler and Cleverly started working on their business start-up during the COVID pandemic in 2020, when they messed around and created a prototype antenna. Now, their company has received funds of over $30 million.

According to their website, Northwood Space is building an "efficient ground network to rapidly scale connectivity and resilience for space."
