Candace Owens, who is married to George Farmer, a British businessman and the former CEO of Parler, is now being sued by French President Emmanuel Macron and wife Brigitte Macron. According to reports, the French first couple has filed a defamation lawsuit against her.

According to BBC, the lawsuit, which was filed on 23 July, states that Candace Owens has been spreading "outlandish, defamatory, and far-fetched fictions" rumors about Brigette, claiming that she is a biological man who later changed her name to Brigette. The statement released by the French President and his wife reads:

"Ms Owens' campaign of defamation was plainly designed to harass and cause pain to us and our families and to garner attention and notoriety. We gave her every opportunity to back away from these claims, but she refused."

More about Candace Owens' husband, George Farmer

George Farmer, whose full name is George Thomas Stahel Farmer, was born on 15 December 1989, in London to parents, Michael Farmer and Jennifer Potts. His father is the former treasurer of the Conservative Party and is a member of Parliament.

George Farmer studied at Oxford University, and in 2018, he met Candace Owens while both were working in different positions at Turning Point USA. The couple got engaged, just two weeks after meeting, but did not make their engagement public until February of the following year. Farmer, during his appearance on "Pints With Aquinas," recalled his whirlwind romance with Owens and said:

"I was actually flying to South Africa at the time for New Year's and I called her and I just said, ‘Listen, I know this is completely crazy, and we've just met but, how do you feel about getting married to me?’ Just real quick. We hadn't gone on a date. We had not talked about marriage or the future or anything. It was very much a God thing. The Lord was in control of that whole process."

According to People Magazine, the couple tied the knot in August 2019 in a private catholic ceremony attended by their closest friends and family members. In 2021, they welcomed their first child, a son, followed by a daughter in 2022. Later in November 2023, George Farmer and Candace Owens welcomed their third child. Candace Owens welcomed her fourth child earlier this year.

During his appearance on the podcast, "First Class Fatherhood," George Farmer opened up about his experiences of being a father, and said:

“I think when you’re a young man in your twenties, you can probably be perceived as being like the king of the world, you can do your own thing, you can become sort of a master of your own little universe,” he said. “(But) life is so much richer when you’re not the master of your own universe. When you actually do have dependents and a family and relationships around you that mean something.”

George Farmer served as the CEO of Parler from 2018 until his resignation in 2022. In an interview with The Catholic Herald, Farmer discussed his time at Parler and said:

"I came in after the deplatforming incident where Amazon, Apple and Google took Parler out as the ultimate example of Big Tech's power. It was a huge moment where Big Tech demonstrated in one move that it could basically destroy an entire company if it wanted to. Parler’s raison d'etre changed in that moment because it was not just about free speech; it was also about saying we want to be free of big tech."

According to the BBC, in her podcast, she labelled the defamation lawsuit as "goofy."
