The 26-year-old Codel has gone viral and is trending particularly on TikTok, following her funny responses to the comments that are mostly about her body.
As per the outlet, the Missouri-based news anchor, Carissa Codel, is known for hosting the morning news Ozark's First on Fox 49. According to her LinkedIn profile, Codel is an anchor and reporter at Fox 49. While she attended Missouri State University, Carissa Codel previously worked as a web producer at KOLR10 for two years and nine months.
Codel has also worked as a news producer for three years and nine months and as a weekend anchor, and reporter for one year and five months at Nexstar Media Group. In her videos, which have gone viral on TikTok, Carissa Codel, in a funny way, reads the comments of the netizens about her body in the voice of a newscaster.
According to The New York Post, as cited by the Independent, Codel began sharing these funny videos, making jokes about the comments left by the netizens since August 2025. With 222,000 followers on Instagram and 123,000 on TikTok, Codel is currently all over the internet for her immensely funny reactions to the comments regarding her physical appearance.

As cited by the Independent, Codel, in an interview with The New York Post, shared her thoughts about people body-shaming her, saying:
"It doesn’t affect me at all. I think that they’re hilarious…I don’t put up the extremely mean ones, but I like the insults that are very creative. My family is very thick-skinned; I’ve never been bothered by a lot of that."
While mentioning how she got rid of 55 pounds over the last three years, Codel added:
"I find it so funny, like, ‘Oh, you think I’m big now, you should have seen me back then. I know who I am, and I know what I look like."
