Chuck Mangione, who was married to his third wife, Rosemarie Mangione, until her death in 2015, passed away on Tuesday at the age of eighty-four. According to People Magazine, the news of his passing was announced on Thursday in a statement confirming that he died in his sleep, surrounded by his family. The statement, which was released to the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle, read:

“The family of Chuck Mangione is deeply saddened to share that Chuck peacefully passed away in his sleep at his home in Rochester, New York on July 22, 2025."

Chuck Mangione, a two-time Grammy-winning performer, was known for his hit single, "Feels So Good," which reached No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart in 1977. Not much is known about his personal life, as he kept his private life out of the spotlight. He was inducted into the Rochester Music Hall of Fame in 2012,

Chuck Mangione, whose full name was Charles Frank Mangione, was born on November 29, 1940. He and his brother, Gap, grew up in Rochester with their parents. According to The Guardian, he was a multi-instrumentalist who was also part of a band named The Jazz Brothers, a venture he had started with his brother before pursuing a solo career in the 1970s.

According to reports, he was first married to former model Nancy Mangione, with whom he shared two children, but the couple later divorced. His niece, Ardis Mangione-Lindley, released a statement to the Democrat and Chronicle, saying:

"He's been to every major city in this country, yet he always came back to Rochester. He was born and raised here, and he died here."

Chuck Mangione, whose career spanned over five decades, released more than thirty albums during his lifetime. Not much is known about Mangione's marriage to his second wife, but he later married Rosemarie Mangione, who was also a performer in her own right. According to Geni, she was born in 1939 and passed away on May 8, 2015, at the age of seventy-six after experiencing a brief period of illness.

According to his obituary, Chuck Mangione is survived by his two children, Nancy Mangione-Piraino and Diana Smith, from his first marriage. He is also survived by his three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
