Legendary Welsh singer-songwriter and guitarist, David Williams Edmunds, commonly known as Dave Edmunds, is battling for his life in hospital, according to Wales Online. The 81-year-old musician and record producer, Edmunds, who once collaborated with rock legends like Robert Plant, Eric Clapton, George Harrison, and others, is severely ill following a cardiac arrest, as per his wife Karin Cecilia, and is currently fighting for his life in intensive care. However, the Express reported that the Rockpile frontman passed away before he could be resuscitated.
Dave Edmunds married Karin Cecilia, also known as Cici, in 1983. They came across one another in Los Angeles. As per the Express, Edmunds lived and worked as a musician in LA for two decades. He even bought a house there. Not to mention, he signed a label with Led Zeppelin. While he loved staying in America, it never felt like home to him. He returned to Monmouth, Wales, in the early 2000s and moved there with his wife, Cici, and his two dogs.
According to Keys and Chords, in a 2015 interview with Ray Shasho, Dave Edmunds, while discussing a song that was inspired by one of Mozart's pieces, shared that it was his wife Cici, who made him listen to classical music, particularly Mozart. While he had not much of an idea about Mozart, Edmunds, after watching the movie Amadeus, which was about the great classical musician, learned a few things about Mozart. He was living in LA at the time, and went to watch it with Cici, and while returning home from the theater, his wife stopped at Tower Records to buy him a CD of Best of Mozart.
Dave Edmunds, before tying the knot with Cici, was previously married to Leslie Glover, with whom he shares two sons, James and Paul, who also live in Wales, as per Showbiz 411.
Cecilia Edmunds shares an emotional post about her husband, Dave Edmunds, on Facebook amid serious health struggles

Cecilia Edmunds, or Cici, who has been married to Dave Edmunds for over four decades, took to Facebook and shared a post in which she described what happened at their Rockfield, Monmouthshire, residence that led to Dave's current health condition. Cici in the post mentioned how she tried her best to keep Dave alive and how a nurse did intense CPR on the rock icon, before he was admitted to the hospital.
Cici revealed what the nurse said at the time:
"Cici I'm gonna stop. Dave is gone. He is dead."
While Cici asked Dave's fans and well-wishers to pray for his recovery, she stated that she would never lose hope for her husband. She also mentioned that Dave went through major brain damage and memory loss. There is a chance that he might also have another cardiac arrest. Cici said:
"I'm still in shock and I believe I have PTSD from the horrific experience. My brilliant talented funny and special Dave could really use as many peoples prayers and good wishes so to speak. Thank you all for your support and well wishes. It means the world to me. Dave will have a very long journey ahead of him if he survives. We both have."
She concluded:
"But knowing that there are kind hearted people such as you all. Makes this tremendously difficult journey a little easier. Bless you all. Sending you all much love and light and always."
