Karrueche Tran is seemingly alluding to a romantic relationship with Deion Sanders.
As reported by People Magazine, the Claws actress, 37, and the former NFL star, 58, have been linked for a few weeks now, after the former shared a video of herself crying at the hospital before he went into surgery. During her Thursday appearance on the What's Next with J. Ryan podcast, she gave fans an update on her love life.
When her longtime friend, Christina Milian, a famed singer and actress who was also on the show, opened up about dating in the industry, host Ryan said of Tran,
“Is she dating right now? I saw that you took a liking into football recently.” The trio burst into laughter before Milian weighed in, “Hey! Touchdown!”
Tran herself confirmed, “Yeah, I’m dating.” Ryan then asked her if she was “having fun,” to which she replied,
“Yeah. If I wasn’t having fun, I wouldn’t be in it.”
Deion Sanders, the former Colorado head football coach, has been dealing with a slew of health problems in his personal life, including blood clots and a partial toe amputation. In his love life, he was first married to Carolyn Chambers. He shares two kids with her, Deion Jr and Deiondra.
He then tied the knot with Pilar Sanders, and the two share three kids: Shilo, Shedeur, and Shelomi. However, things ended poorly for the two in the public eye when they divorced in 2013. At the time, Pilar reportedly tweaked the validity of their prenuptial agreement and accused her former husband of misconduct. However, the court eventually upheld the prenup anyway.

During her conversation with Ryan and Milian, Karrueche Tran gave fans a better glimpse into her love life:
“I’m at a point in my life, like, I know what I want. I’ve dated a lot. I’ve done a lot. I’ve did this, did that. Young, old. And so, if I wasn’t happy and content, and feeling good in my situation, I’m not wasting my time,” she said. She continued, “I don’t have the time for it. I rather be at home, namaste, chile, in bed at 9 o’clock doing my own thing if I’m not happy.”
She then concluded with a sly smirk:
“So yeah, I’m in a good place.”
While Karrueche Tran didn't mention the name of her beau, fans have been speculating that it could be Sanders, as she was seen crying by his bedside in a video last month. At the time, the University of Colorado head football coach was preparing to undergo bladder cancer surgery.
“We are here at the hospital because we are dealing with…," Karrueche Tran said in the video, unable to complete her sentence. “We are dealing with bladder cancer. He is having his bladder removed.”
In another video that made it to YouTube the following day, she could be seen helping the University of Colorado head football coach take his first steps after surgery.
As of this writing, he has yet to address their alleged romance himself.
