Eileen Fulton, best known for playing Lisa on the CBS soap opera, As The World Turns, passed away at the age of 91 on July 14, 2025, in Asheville, North Carolina.

Fulton was married three times in her life, with each of her marriages ending in divorce, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Her first marriage was with Bill Cochrane in 1957. She married record producer Danny Fortunato in 1971 as per her bio on IMDb, and then tied the knot with landscape architect Rick McMorrow in 1989.

Deadline reported that Fulton’s family announced her death in an obituary, which stated that her demise came after “a period of declining health.” The obituary added further details about her family including her parents.

According to her obituary, Eileen Fulton was born as Margaret Elizabeth McLarty on September 13, 1933, in Asheville. Her father, James B. McLarty was a minister at a Methodist church. He served congregations in western North Carolina. Fulton's mother, Margaret Glenn McLarty, was a school teacher.

All we know about Eileen Fulton’s family

In addition to her acting career, Eileen Fulton was also a singer. She graduated from Greensboro College with a bachelor’s degree in music in 1956. At the age of 2, she sang the song, Shortnin’ Bread during a church service, per Kiddle. When she was in third grade, she told her parents,

“When I grow up and become a movie star, I'm going to get you a house of your own."

She performed in the outdoor drama, The Lost Colony, in Manteo. Later, she shifted to New York to chase her acting dreams.

She began using her stage name Eileen Fulton, and in 1960 landed a role in the film, Girl of the Night, which co-starred Anne Francis. Her breakthrough role came in the same year on As The World Turns where her character got married eight times.

Fulton wrote the first of her two autobiographies, How My World Turns, in 1970, and a second, As My World Still Turns, in 1995. She co-authored a few murder mysteries, too, and launched her clothing line. She also performed the cabaret, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Spokesman reported that she was afraid of her second husband, Danny Fortunato, and would sneak in and out of television studios in disguises.

She said:

“Danny followed me out, his body slightly twitching from the tears he was once again trying to hold back. As the driver pulled away from the curb and the car slowly joined the Fifth Avenue traffic, I watched Danny’s face grow smaller and smaller, until I couldn’t recognize it anymore.”

She was married again in 1989, to Rick McMorrow, but eventually they separated in the same year, per Fulton’s IMDb bio. She never had children from any of her marriages.

According to Eileen Fulton’s orbituary, she is,

“survived by her brother, Charles Furman McLarty (Karen) of Black Mountain; niece Katherine Morris (David) and their children, Everly Ann Morris and Easton Lane Morris of Fort Mill, S.C.; and sister-in-law Chris Page McLarty of Camden, Maine.”

Her parents and her brother, James Fulton McLarty, passed away before her.

The obituary added that her funeral service was held on July 16, 2025 at Central United Methodist Church in Asheville, North Carolina.
