Elin Nordegren, who married Tiger Woods in 2004, found her life moving in a different direction years later. As People reported on December 23, 2024, it was former NFL tight end Jordan Cameron who had become her partner. Cameron, known for his years with the Cleveland Browns and Miami Dolphins, retired from football in 2017 after enduring four concussions over six seasons. That same year, he and Elin Nordegren began their relationship.
At 28, Cameron spoke to ESPN about why he stepped away.
“I started thinking about concussions too much, you can’t play football like that,” he shared.
He also talked about wanting stability for the people closest to him. “I want to be there for him,” Cameron said, referring to his oldest son, Tristan.
“And I want more kids, and I want to be present with them. I don’t want them dealing with things that we’ve seen some other guys are dealing with.”
Elin Nordegren and Cameron met in 2017, with an eight-year age gap between them. The couple is part of a blended family comprising six children: Nordegren’s two children with Tiger Woods, Sam and Charlie; Jordan Cameron's son Tristan; and their three young children, Arthur, Zeta, and Freya. Recently, Elin Nordegren and her ex-husband were spotted exchanging a talk at their son's golf event.
Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren share a rare moment together while cheering on son Charlie:
As reported by The Daily Mail, Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren were seen chatting quietly on Saturday as they followed their son Charlie around the course at a major high school golf event. Charlie, now 16, handled the moment with ease, posting the joint-lowest score of the second day and helping Benjamin School secure another state championship.
Despite the crowd and the attention that always follows his family, Charlie didn’t appear rattled. He played with the same calm rhythm he has shown all season, even with his father walking the fairways at Mission Inn Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills. As per The Daily Mail, Woods looked comfortable after undergoing lumbar disk replacement surgery on October 10 and kept his focus on his son’s progress. Charlie’s four-under 68 on Saturday set the tone for the win, giving Benjamin a five-shot margin by the end of the two-day competition. The school celebrated the same title two years earlier when he was a freshman.

Woods’ stop at the event explained his absence from another storyline unfolding this week: his girlfriend, Vanessa Trump, was watching her daughter Kai attempt her first professional tournament. Kai posted a much-improved second-round score, cutting eight strokes off her opening round at The Annika, but missed the cut after finishing with an 83 and 75. She placed last in the 108-player field at Pelican Golf Club, ending six shots behind the next player.
Vanessa supported Kai on-site, while Nordegren joined Woods in backing Charlie.
How Elin Nordegren rebuilt her life after her very public split from Tiger Woods:

Elin Nordegren married Tiger Woods at 24 in 2004. Their marriage ended after six years. But after the leaked voicemail in which Tiger Woods, then the world’s most famous golfer, reached out to a club hostess, the relationship suffered damage it couldn’t recover from. Their divorce was finalized in August 2010, leaving Elin Nordegren a single mother to Sam and Charlie.
Despite the public fallout, Elin Nordegren did not allow the situation to halt her life. She received a $100 million settlement from Tiger Woods, though she made it clear in a 2014 interview with People that money only offered comfort, not fulfillment. As she put it, it “does not make you happy.”
Elin Nordegren also understood the emotional strain the divorce had placed on her. In that same 2014 interview, she revealed that she sought counseling in 2010 when paparazzi chased her following the very public breakup. As a psychology student at the time, she recognized the toll a divorce, especially one played out globally, could take if she didn’t seek help.
She told People in 2010.
"It’s hard to think you have this life, and then all of a sudden—was it a lie? You’re struggling because it wasn’t real,"
She added,
"As anyone who has gone through a divorce knows, it is never easy. Every day is a little easier than the one before, but I still have a lot of healing to do."
She appreciated her family’s support but still believed in professional guidance.
“It is important to have your friends' and family's support, but I also think it is very important to have objective help from a professional therapist if possible,” she said.
By 2014, she told the outlet she was still attending weekly therapy and felt stronger for it.
“I have moved on, and I am in a good place,” she shared.
