The internet personality turned fashion icon, Emma Chamberlain, was the interviewer at this year's Met Gala red carpet. In 2025, she is back for her fifth year as the event’s red carpet correspondent, joined by Teyana Taylor, Ego Nwodim, and La La Anthony.
As her public appearances at fashion events become more and more common, so does interest in Chamberlain’s personal life, specifically her dating life.
In several interviews, Emma Chamberlain expressed her desire to keep this aspect of her life private. She told W Magazine in 2019 that she doesn't disclose enough personal information and has a hard time doing so, particularly where relationships are concerned. She stated the fact that breakups are difficult enough without the burden of public scrutiny.
"For example, I don’t like to give too many details on very, very personal aspects of my relationships with my family or friends... There’s a line for me, and I like to keep things very light, nothing serious." She said.
Emma Chamberlain has been tied to several familiar names over the years, but she has rarely ever personally confirmed any of these rumors.
Most recently, in May 2024, Emma Chamberlain found herself at the center of dating rumors again, this time with indie singer Peter McPoland. After the 2024 Met Gala, the pair were supposedly spotted hanging out with each other, which got many fans speculating.
One of the YouTuber’s first and most popular relationships was with a fellow YouTube star named Ethan Dolan. Their collaborative videos during 2018 fueled speculation that they were more than friends.
According to an article by J-14, the two would frequently be seen hanging out with one another, and in October of the same year, Ethan confirmed that he was in a relationship.
More rumoured relationships involving Emma Chamberlain
After the rumors about Ethan Dolan, Emma Chamberlain was subsequently rumored to be with TikTok personality Aaron Hull. She added to the rumours towards the end of 2019 following the release of a video titled “Learning How to Skateboard to Impress a Guy,” where she revealed she liked a skater. Fans were soon convinced it was Hull.
Their short fling lasted around five months before it concluded in early 2020. Hull would later share that the two broke up because of distance and life changes in a YouTube video.
"Emma was the greatest girlfriend, I couldn’t [have] asked for anything more from her. She was so supportive of me." He said in the video.
In the middle of 2020, there were speculations that she was dating the musician Tucker Pillsbury, who goes by the stage name Role Model. During a podcast appearance, Emma confirmed that she was seeing someone.
Tucker was seen blowing a kiss to Emma at a concert, and their appearance together at the 2022 Vanity Fair Oscar party fueled more rumors. The pair eventually went public in February 2023 and broke up later that year in October.
