Influencer Fati Vazques is reportedly on the receiving end of death threats as reports emerge of a budding romance with FC Barcelona star Lamine Yamal.

As of this writing, rumors of a romance have yet to be confirmed, though the two have been spotted on vacation in Italy. As photos of the two went viral, the 31-year-old was subjected to hate and criticism online for her bond with Lamine Yamal, who is 17 years old.

She has since taken to Instagram to share her side of the story:

“It’s sad to see how some people carry so much darkness inside that they go as far as to wish death upon someone they don’t even know. What others project says more about them than it does about me. I choose to live with purpose, to keep growing, and to surround myself with light," she wrote. “To those who wish me harm, I wish healing—because no one who is truly well with themselves wants to destroy another. ❤️”

Fati Vazquez is originally from A Pobra do Caramiñal, located in Galicia in northwest Spain. She boasts over 400,000 followers on Instagram and more than 320,000 on TikTok alone, where she shares health and lifestyle-related content. She reportedly graduated in flight attendance and is also the author of a book that recounts the harassment she endured during her formative years.

Here's what we know about Lamine Yamal's dating history

Fans first began speculating about a romantic link between Vazquez and Lamine Yamal when they began sharing photos of themselves on vacation. Photos from both parties seemingly had the same background, including an infinity pool and canopy.

While they did not explicitly post photos with each other, netizens began speculating that they were there as a pair. However, fellow influencer Javi De Hoyos has since refuted this idea after allegedly speaking with the footballer himself, The Sun has reported.

He claims "there is no relationship" between the two, and there were more people on the trip than just them.

"Lamine would not have gone alone to this holiday place but with other Barça team-mates. Fati probably does have something with another Barça person or is a friend of another team-mate."

As for Lamine Yamal, the Lad Bible has reported that he is currently single, having broken up with his ex-girlfriend, TikTok star Alex Padilla, last year. The pair were together when Spain nabbed the Euro 2024 trophy and were spotted celebrating on the pitch.

Lamine Yamal is currently rumored to win the Ballon d'Or following his show of sportsmanship at the game, though he doesn't think these rumors hold merit.

"People have the wrong concept of the Ballon d'Or," he told 'Cadena Ser' ahead of the Nations League semi-final against France. "The Ballon d'Or is not for the one who wins a match, it's for the best player of the year." He added: "For me, if people want to vote for the one who wins the match, perfect. I think Spain will win. It's up to the people and, whatever happens, I will continue to enjoy football and have a good time."

In the meantime, The Sun has reported that he is on his way to Italy for a break following a long campaign with his team. He was crucial to Barcelona's success in winning La Liga and the Copa del Rey, as he scored 16 goals and assisted another 16.
