Haylie Duff is engaged to Matt Rosenberg. Matt surprised her on April 1, 2014, with a beautiful and special proposal. On April 3, she announced the news publicly through her blog, The Real Girl’s Kitchen.
In an April 2020 conversation with Us Weekly, the 40-year-old actress explained why she and her partner were yet to get married. She said,
"We're busy with both of the kids and jobs, and we always say, 'We will at some point,' and then life continues to be busy, and we still really like each other, which is good, I guess. At some point we will, but certainly now is not the time to have a wedding."
Matt Rosenberg is an entrepreneur who founded an apparel company named Subway Tile Shirts in 2013. He rose to fame and found the spotlight after getting engaged to his celebrity partner, Haylie Duff.
On April 4, 2014, Duff posted her engagement news on Instagram, showing off her ring in a click.
Sharing the memorable picture, she wrote in the caption,
"The future Mrs.Rosenberg"
Everything we know about Haylie Duff's fiancé, Matt Rosenberg
Born on September 5, 1980, in New York, Matt is a businessman. He runs his apparel brand, Subway Tile Shirts, selling T-shirts with the famous tile mosaics of New York City's subway stations printed on each tee, Bustle reported in 2014.
Subway Tile Shirts's official website mentions,
"The subway is what gets us there, with each station connecting riders to the most diverse city on earth. New York City is an absolute cosmopolitan gem, rocking with life, creativity, sport and commerce. From the bright stage of Madison Square Garden, to the grit and hustle of Brooklyn, you’re just one swipe away from a different world."
Inspired by the bustling city, the pieces are "unique, just like each of the city’s five boroughs," the website also adds.
Haylie Duff and Matt Rosenberg are proud parents of two daughters, Ryan Ava Erhard Rosenberg and Lulu Gray Rosenberg. On May 11, 2015, they had Ryan, followed by the younger one's birth on June 5, 2018.
It has been over a decade since their engagement, and it seems they are waiting for the right time to tie the knot.
In a 2020 conversation with People, the actress spoke about her dreamy wedding plans. The couple wants a simple and casual wedding instead of a grand and extravagant celebration.
Speaking candidly about her wedding plans, Hailey Duff told the outlet,
"We’re pretty laidback, [so] I feel like it’ll be easy and casual."
In between the interview, she also clarified what 'casual' means in the context of her nuptials and further added,
"Not casual like, you know, linen pants and barefoot, but not super black tie. I want it to be a day [in which] everyone is very comfortable, which I think is what everyone says."
Haylie Duff attended a movie premiere on Tuesday
The Material Girls star attended the premiere of Lifetime Original Movie Pretty Hurts on May 20, Us Weekly reported.
During a conversation with Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet, she opened up about singing for Isabella in the 2003 film The Lizzie McGuire Movie. With her sister, Hilary, she performed Hey Now (What Dreams Are Made Of).
She shared,
"Yes, I was. You mean, 20 years ago?"
Shocked to hear that Material Girls would celebrate 20 years next year, she continued,
"Maybe one day, [my daughter Ryan] will sit and watch Material Girls and get a kick out of that."

The Duff siblings, Haylie Duff and Hillay Duff, shared the screen and starred together in the 2006 comedy film Material Girls. Hilary played the role of Tanzie Marchetta, and Haylie was seen portraying Ava Marchetta on-screen.
While chatting with Entertainment Tonight on May 20, Haylie Duff recalled the reason for relocating to Austin from Los Angeles, with her fiancé and their two kids.
Talking about the shift, she explained during the interview,
"We were ready for a little more space and we love it there. We love, like, our friends there, and [Ryan’s] school is there. We come back to L.A. all the time. We still look at L.A. as home in so many ways."
While she and her sister grew up in the Lone Star State, her daughters are natively from California. The Blending Christmas actress chimed in,
"Both my [daughters] were born here. A lot of my family is still. It’s weird because Austin has become a little, mini L.A. in a lot of ways — and the flight is so short that’s, sort of, like this bizarre middle ground between L.A. and New York."
Talking about her life in Austin after leaving Los Angeles, she elaborated,
"It doesn’t feel like we left. We come here a lot for work, and so, we get my Texas roots blended with pop on a quick flight whenever we want."
Starring Haylie Duff, Pretty Hurts is set to premiere on Saturday, June 28, 2025.
