WWE star Jade Cargill is all set to make her debut in Hollywood alongside Marvel alum Jonathan Majors.

The pair will star in True Threat, a Gerard McMurray-directed action thriller set in Harlem. Alexis Garcia’s CAT5, Charlamagne Tha God, Basil Iwanyk, and Karen Kinney’s new banner, Southland Stories, are serving as producers. Deadline has reported that Southland Stories sheds light on the underdogs, though the forthcoming film will be its first feature project.

In her personal life, Jade Cargill is married to former Cincinnati Reds star Brandon Phillips. They first crossed paths when the former was heading to meet a childhood friend, who was also both of their managers. More details about when they began dating or when they tied the knot remain unclear, though they have always been vocal about their love and support for each other.

Back in 2023, the retired professional baseball player sat down for an interview on the In the Front Row with Mike Vaccaro podcast, where he gushed over his wife:

“I want her to have her own spotlight — it’s about her, it’s not about me,” he said. “I’ve been in the spotlight since ’99, and right now, I’m just chilling with the kids, chilling with Jade, traveling the world with her.”

Phillips and Cargill share one daughter, Bailey Quinn. The former also fathers daughter Micole and Son Micah from previous relationships.

Here's everything we know about Jade Cargill's role in her debut film:

Fightful has reported that True Threat chronicles the tale of Special Forces operative Vernon Threat, who will be played by Majors. Following his son's murder at the hands of the Apollo Kids gang, he journeys back home for revenge.

As for his co-star, Jade Cargill, she will embody Meeka, a leading lieutenant in the Apollo Kids. She is in charge of helming the red light district in The Carter, which is a massive, 20-story building controlled by the gang. There, she operates as a power broker.

Deadline has reported that production kicks off this fall, and Jade Cargill joins the cast not long after her breakout performance at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas. As for Majors, he will be returning to the silver screen for the first time since his ex-girlfriend filed a lawsuit against him, alleging assault and defamation.

Director McMurray told Deadline about Jade Cargill:

“I am excited to have Jade join us on True Threat. She is a unique talent with a rare blend of athleticism, charisma, and control on camera. The role of Meeka requires presence and precision, and Jade brings both. I believe audiences will see a completely new side of her in this film.”

The producing team also echoed the sentiments:

“Our mission here is to champion new faces and new voices in action storytelling. Jade is exactly the type of dynamic talent we want to introduce to the global film audience. She is already a force in the sports and entertainment world, and we believe this is just the beginning for her on the big screen.”

Cargill is currently being represented by Paradigm Talent Group as she wrestles for WWE SmackDown. She began her career back in 2018, though it only took off by 2020, when she joined All Elite Wrestling (AEW). She was undefeated for most of her time there. She eventually joined the WWE in 2023, where she dominated the Women’s World Tag Team titles with Bianca Belair.
