I am Chevy Chase and You're Not is a celebrity documentary that is all set to release on January 1, 2026, on CNN.

The documentary covers the life and experiences of comedian Chevy Chase, including his rise in Saturday Night Live to his three marriages, his childhood, his struggle with alcohol and cocaine, a failed talk show, his family, and more.

Chevy Chase is currently married to Jayni Chase. Jayni hails from California and shares three children with Chevy.

Apart from Chase and his family, the documentary features candid interviews with the celebrity's former associates and confidants, such as Mike Ovitz, Dan Aykroyd, Beverly D'Angelo, Goldie Hawn, Lorne Michaels, Ryan Reynolds, and Martin Short.


About Chevy Chase's wife, Jayni Chase

Before marrying Jayni Chase, Chevy Chase was previously married to Suzanne Chase and Jacqueline Carline. Jayni grew up in North Hollywood, California. According to a People Magazine publication in September 1983, her two brothers were her inspiration to become a pentathlete.

While working on Under the Rainbow, Chevy showed interest in Jayni, but in a 2009 interview with PBS' This Emotional Life, he claimed that Jayni "couldn't care less" about him (as reported by Rare).

Jayni continued,

"He did have to pursue me because I really wasn't wanting to be in a relationship."

The couple shares three children. On January 4, 1983, Chevy and his wife, Jayni, welcomed their first child, a daughter called Cydney Cathalene Chase.

Cydney is a singer-songwriter and is also passionate about painting, trail running, and yoga. She documents her life on Instagram and is married to Ryan Bartell.

Caley was born on January 19, 1985. She was drawn to the entertainment industry at a young age. She started pursuing acting, screenwriting, and music at a young age.

In addition to following in her father's footsteps, she has collaborated with him on multiple occasions while pursuing a career in Hollywood. Her father reprised his role as Clark Griswold from National Lampoon's Vacation in the 2010 short film Hotel Hell Vacation, in which she made her screen debut as a maid. In June 2022, Caley married Milo in a wedding that their whole family witnessed and recorded.

Their third daughter, Emily on September 29, 1988. She shares her family's love of music. According to her Board Member bio page for the charity musical education organization Give A Note Foundation, she began her first band at the age of nine, in addition to singing with her sisters. Later on, she played in a Connecticut jazz trio.

Emily graduated in Political Science and English. She moved to Aspen, where she worked for the Aspen Center for Environmental Studies. According to her LinkedIn page, Emily moved to New York in 2019 and started working for the National Audubon Society, where she rose from development associate to director of board engagement.
