Taylor Swift and actress Dakota Johnson recently met on a dinner date in New York City on Saturday night, and even brought their brothers Jesse Johnson and Austin Swift to join the dinner.

Although Dakota Johnson and Taylor’s friendship is well known in the entertainment industry, the appearance of Jesse Johnson has caused some renewed interest in Don Johnson’s eldest son and his life both on and off the screen.

Jesse Wayne Johnson is the oldest son of actor Don Johnson and actress Patti D'Arbanville. The Fifty Shades of Grey star Dakota Johnson is his half sister. Despite his famous lineage, Jesse has generally kept a low profile.

In a 2009 interview with Top Cat Films, Jesse Johnson stated that he spent his formative years in Aspen, Colorado, where he supposedly developed a passion for ice hockey and other sports before getting into the world of entertainment.

After earning his degree in Theater from Los Angeles' Occidental College, Jesse went on to pursue an acting career. He debuted on his dad’s hit show Nash Bridges. Jesse has made appearances on fan favorite series like Hawaii Five-0, Grey’s Anatomy, NCIS, and Twin Peaks throughout the years and has built a successful acting résumé.

Jesse Johnson's Instagram shows his love for travel. He has uploaded several snapshots over the years from a number of different destinations around the world, from Stockholm, Tel Aviv, and Hokkaido to Paris, Tokyo, and London.

More about Jesse Johnson's career in the entertainment industry and his recent outing with Taylor Swift

In Spring 2011, Jesse signed his first major network role and played a top real estate agent, Adam Mann, in the NBC pilot A Mann's World. The show was created and directed by Michael Patrick King.

He also starred in the 2013 film Chapman, an indie production filmed in and around his hometown of Aspen, Colorado. The film also starred Christopher Masterson and Christine Woods (IMDb).

Apart from acting, Jesse has also pursued his interest in music. In 2020, his band Blame Baby released their first EP, Honest Answers To Your Most Private Questions, and he also collaborated on a project titled Trésjeté.

According to the Daily Mail, Jesse’s recent appearance with Dakota and the Swift siblings came amid heightened press coverage of Taylor Swift’s changing inner circle.

The dinner outing comes amid reports of a fallout between Swift and longtime bff Blake Lively. A source revealed that Swift has been keeping Lively at arm’s length after getting involved in the actress’s legal drama with It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni.
