Jamaican reggae legend Jimmy Cliff passed away at the age of 81, from a seizure and pneumonia. His wife, Latifa Chambers, took to Instagram to announce the reggae icon's death. The hitmaker of songs like "I Can See Clearly Now" leaves behind his wife, Latifa, and three children. Although the children have mostly kept their lives private and not much is known about them. In an interview with the Guardian back in 2012, he revealed that he had two young kids at the time, one was 7 years old and the other was 8 years old. He even mentioned that his son was gifted on the drums while the girl was "a very good singer." The 33-year-old is a Brazilian actress and singer. He shares Nabiyah with his ex, Sônia Gomes. Unlike her young half-siblings, Nabiyah has a more public life. As an actress, she has acted in hit movies like Black Panther (2018), a short movie, White Wedding (2021) and the TV drama show Daisy Jones & The Six (2023). Nabiyah has many songs under her. Her latest album, O QUE O SOL QUER, was released early this year. Seems like the children picked up some musical talent from their father. Jimmy Cliff's parenting approachJimmy Cliff also spoke about his approach to parenting, which involved teaching moral values without exposing them to a rigid religious framework. Cliff clarified that music was a natural part of their upbringing, reflecting his own early years in Somerton, Jamaica, where singing was frowned upon by elder family members, with the exception of his grandmother, who believed he was destined for greatness.Jimmy Cliff tracked down his mother, who had separated from his father when Jimmy was only a few months old. He bought her a house in St. James and remained connected to her till her death. Jimmy, who was raised by his father, grandmother and paternal aunts, and later reconnected with his mother, understood the importance of a loving family. He credits his success to a loving household which gave him discipline, emotional grounding and the belief that family comes first. Jimmy Cliff is a reggae legend and has no regrets about life, as stated by him in an interview:"My life in six words...
