Zoey Deutch has confirmed her engagement to comedian Jimmy Tatro after four years of dating. “Three months engaged to the love of my life,” Deutch captioned an Instagram post on September 28, alongside photos of the proposal. In the pictures, Tatro can be seen kneeling in the sand at sunset, and Deutch smiling with her engagement ring.

The pair had gone public with their relationship in February 2021 when Tatro had shared an Instagram collage for Valentine’s Day. “Just using today as an excuse to post some top-notch untapped Zoey content,” he had captioned the post. Later that year, Tatro wished Deutch on her birthday with photos of the couple, joking in one caption:

“Happy [birthday] Fred.”

Their first public appearance as a couple was at a Super Bowl LVI pregame event in 2022. In August that year, Deutch had told the Betches U Up? podcast that their differences kept things interesting.

“I would be so bored if I was dating someone who agreed with me on everything and thought everything in the same way as me - I’d be so bored by that. I mean I am currently with someone who is my actual polar opposite,” she shared.

Back in August 2022, Deutch had admitted that Jimmy Tatro struggled to sit through her performance in Not Okay. Speaking to Lights, Camera, Barstool, she had joked:

“My boyfriend watched it for the first time and he was like, ‘No! Zoey, why are you doing that?’ I don’t know if he actually really watched it because his head was in his hands the whole time.”

The couple had also made headlines later that year during a trip to France. While reflecting on the 28th annual amfAR Gala, Deutch had revealed on The Kelly Clarkson Show that she and Tatro had been pulled over by police after accidentally driving onto the Monaco Grand Prix track.

“We were leaving an event very early in the morning and we, I don’t know how, somehow ended up on the track for the Grand Prix in Monaco,” she recalled .
“And they were all like, coming on and bringing all the cars on for the Grand Prix. So, we got stopped and pulled over,” she added.

Jimmy Tatro remembers his 22 Jump Street casting journey

Before Jimmy Tatro was known for television roles, he was proving himself with movies like 22 Jump Street. During filming in New Orleans, he opened up to Collider about how he got to playing Rooster, a part he didn’t initially audition for.

“My agent set me up with an audition, I went in for Zook, thought I did pretty well, then got told I didn’t get it. And then suddenly I find out I’m playing Rooster,” he remembered.

Rooster’s signature look came with some debate. “Do I need the red Mohawk?” he asked the team. The response: “The character’s called Rooster. You’re not getting out of this one.” Tatro laughed that he bought “a lot of hats for this trip to New Orleans,” but ultimately went with a fauxhawk.

More surprising to him than the haircut was the sheer amount of improv on set. “There’s more improv on this than I even really do in my videos,” he admitted, pointing out how Jonah Hill’s quick wit kept everyone on their toes.

“You gotta try to come back with something funny, but you’re trying not to do too much at the same time,” he explained.

From a YouTube channel to sharing the screen with Hollywood stars, Jimmy Tatro’s journey has been anything but ordinary. And now, with his engagement to Zoey Deutch, Tatro is stepping into a new chapter of his personal life as seamlessly as he has navigated his career.
