Who is Jodi Fournerat? All about Chase Chrisley’s girlfriend as Julie Chrisley reveals she was not thrilled with potential engagement

Four months after calling off his engagement to Emmy Medders, Chase Chrisley confirmed he had moved on with Jodi Fournerat, as reported by People in November 2023. According to Us Weekly, Jodi Fournerat, who lived in New Orleans, Louisiana, frequently traveled to Nashville, where Chrisley resided. She worked as a travel surgical technologist while also maintaining a presence as a fashion influencer on Instagram.

Julie Chrisley, however, did not hide her reservations about the relationship. Speaking on The Chrisleys: Back to Reality in a phone call featured in the September 2, 2024, episode, Julie remarked,

“Just because I am in prison does not mean that my job as a mother stops. Yes, it is very much limited as to what I can do. But I am still, at my core, a mother to these children.” she shared.

She went on to admit that she had been hesitant when Chase told her about his proposal plans.

“When he told me that he wanted to marry Jodi, I was not thrilled. I don’t know her. So, I can’t be on board with my son marrying someone that I don’t even know.”

Chase Chrisley opens up about proposing to Jodi Fournerat amid Julie Chrisley’s concerns:

Jodi Fournerat even made a brief appearance on the family’s Lifetime docuseries, which premiered on September 1, 2024. Chrisley spoke candidly about his mother’s concerns during a confessional on the show.

“I went to go visit my mom to break the news to her that I’m going to be proposing to Jodi, my mom doesn’t want me to rush anything. She wants me to take my time, but it’s been over two years. So, I don’t feel like I’m rushing anything.” shared Chase.

He acknowledged that Julie Chrisley’s absence shaped her outlook.

“I think a lot of it’s coming from that, my mom doesn’t want to miss out on it, but there’s nothing we can do about it right now.” he explained.

At a dinner with his grandparents, Pam and Harvey Hughes, Chase further explained his perspective. “She and I had an intense conversation. I don’t think it was an argument,” he said, adding to Jodi, “She doesn’t know you. She hasn’t gotten the opportunity to know you because she’s sitting in prison.”

Chase recalled telling his mother, “At the end of the day, this is the person I’ve chosen to be my wife and eventually the mother of my children.” He also stressed his desire for harmony.

“She was like, ‘When I get out of here, I’m looking forward to meeting her and it’s not like I’m not going to give her a chance.’” he shared.

He reassured Jodi Fournerat of his commitment.

“We’ve been together for two years. At the end of the day, I’m not going to let anybody — not my family, not a stranger on the street — make you uncomfortable or disrespect you.”

Jodi Fournerat, however, admitted she felt she hadn’t “had a fair shot” with the Chrisley family. Chase agreed, saying,

“My parents have really never given anyone a fair shot, of any girl I’ve ever dated. It took me as long as it did to pull it together and I’m ashamed of that, but there’s nothing I can do about it now other than try to be the best version of myself every day and continue to grow as a man.”

Chase Chrisley and his girlfriend, Jodi Laine Fournerat, shared details about their relationship in an interview with People. The couple, who had been together for two years, spoke while promoting Chase’s new alcohol-free seltzer brand, Gold Drop.

“We met through mutual friends, and then I went on her Instagram, and just liked a bunch of pictures back, to back, to back, to back, to back. And she called me out for it on her Story, and I was like, ‘The hell is wrong with you? Why would you do that?’” Chase shared.

“The rest is history,” Jodi Fournerat added.

“Yeah, the rest is history, we hung out, and it’s literally been history ever since,” Chase explained.

The pair dated long-distance for a year before Jodi Fournerat relocated from Louisiana to Tennessee, where Chase lived. At the time, she worked full-time as a surgical technologist.

“I was on call all the time, I was working weekends, so I would come in as much as I could to Nashville, but it was definitely a lot easier for Chase to be able to fly in, I would only be able to stay for typically a weekend, versus Chase would come in, and he would be able to stay for two weeks, three weeks.” she explained.

“But then, I was sitting there while she was in surgery for 12 hours, like, ‘What am I supposed to do?’” Chase added.

The Chrisley Knows Best alum praised Jodi’s dedication.

“I’ve never been with a woman who has the work ethic that she has. It was refreshing for me to see.” He also credited her as “a big reason why I quit drinking.”

“Without her support throughout the last two years of my parents being gone, I really don’t know where I would be, if I would even be here,” he shared,
