Gina Rodriguez, an actress known for her role in Jane the Virgin, revealed that she is expecting her second child with husband Joe LoCicero. On July 11, the couple reportedly announced the pregnancy at Netflix’s Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano 3 red carpet. Recently, Rodriguez also shared that she is expecting a baby girl via an Instagram post.

Gina Rodriguez is married to Joe LoCicero, whom she met in 2016 on the set of Jane the Virgin. Joe LoCicero, 38, is himself an actor, one of his prominent roles being Vincent Walker, aka Vinny, on the CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful; he reportedly joined the cast in 2019. The couple tied the knot in 2019 and welcomed their first child, son Charlie Ray, in 2023.

On July 12, the actress took to Instagram to post a picture of her cradling her baby bump and shared that they are expecting a baby girl. Rodriguez wrote in the caption that,

"Baby girl coming thru!!! We are so excited for you lil mama."

Joe LoCicero is a 38-year-old actor who is known for his role in the long-running soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful. But his character, Vincent, was reportedly killed off in 2021. Interestingly, Rodriguez is also an alum of the soap opera; she reportedly played Beverly, a recurring character.

According to People Magazine, beyond acting, LoCicero is also a Muay Thai fighter, and in 2018, he became a champion at the WCK Middleweight California Amateur Muay Thai. He is also reportedly passionate about the environment and consistently posts on his Instagram about it. As per People Magazine, he has regularly posted about #SaveSoil on his Instagram.

As an actor, Locicero appeared in various shows and movies. He even appeared in an episode of Jane the Virgin, which starred his now wife, Gina Rodriguez. He, reportedly, also appeared in other works starring Rodriguez, like the movies Miss Bala, Someone Great, and Players. LoCicero and Gina Rodriguez met each other on the set of Jane the Virgin in 2016. LoCicero reportedly played a stripper hired by Jane's (Rodriguez's character in the show) mother in a Season 2 episode.

According to the publication, in 2019, Gina Rodriguez shared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that though she and LoCicero met on the set of Jane the Virgin, they did not get together until they coincidentally met at a boxing gym a few months later. Joe LoCicero and Gina Rodriguez got engaged after two years of dating in 2018, and about a year later, the couple tied the knot on May 4, 2019.

The couple welcomed their son Charlie Ray in 2023. The actress shared with People Magazine at the time that her son was named (first name and middle name) after family members who passed away.
