"He was kidnapped, beaten, doused in gasoline to be set on fire because of the work he was doing. I was confused and angry and not sure what to do. It was one of the first times in my life I felt truly convinced about something. A few weeks later, I spent my savings on a flight to India to create a documentary.”
Busy Philipps, who shares who children with her ex-husband, explained in her recent exclusive interview with People Magazine that she and Joshua Jackson had thoroughly rehearsed their parts before the special performance at the Dawson's Creek reunion event. She said:
"We had run through the whole thing the day before. And so we were just doing sound cues and lighting cues onstage the day of. That's all we had time to do."

"But I know from doing that show that occasionally, when there's a really big character thing where it's two characters kiss or something like that, the crowd goes nuts if you actually do it. Because they're not expecting it. Even Joshua Jackson agreed with her at that time, and said "'I'm in. I think we got to give the people what they want.'"
Busy Philipps infact called out the kiss scene from the Dawson's Creek pilot episode, which depicts a sudent-teacher relationship, saying that it was something "insanely inappropriate" to have as part of a plot.
