Jude Stewart is honoring her grandmother, Martha Stewart, on her 84th birthday.
The business mogul celebrated her birthday this Saturday, August 3, and she celebrated the day with her family by her side. On her Instagram Stories, she re-posted her 14-year-old granddaughter's snap of their meal at a seafood restaurant, i.e., lobster rolls and French fries. Jude was born to Martha's only daughter, Alexis Stewart, who also has a 13-year-old son named Truman Stewart.
Martha seldom shares photos of her grandkids, though the two are seemingly close. Back in May 2024, she shared a close-up of Jude's iris on Instagram, while the caption read:
"I have always loved that my Grandaughter has a brown streak in her blue eyes," she wrote. "Unusual?"
As reported by People Magazine, Alexis welcomed Jude as a single mother back in 2011 after five rounds of IVF. Jude welcomed her brother, Truman, the following year, and both kids were born via surrogacy.
"Getting Jude was lucky," she told People Magazine in 2011. "I'm happy, but this has been rough."
By the time Jude turned 3, Martha Stewart was impressed with her trilingual skills.
“[She’s] speaking Spanish and English [and] she’s going into Mandarin now,” she told PEOPLE. “She’s a linguist … She’s an actor and a dancer and a musician, [too.]” She also gushed over her etiquitte: "She sits straight, she puts her napkin on her lap, she can eat with chopsticks ... and she's extremely polite," Martha told PEOPLE.
Martha Stewart opens up about aging gracefully
On Instagram, Martha Stewart teased fans with a "surprise" she has in store for them, though as of this writing, further details about the same remain scarce. The Emmy Award-winning TV host shared a snap of herself with a plant, and in the caption, she wrote:
"A little birthday surprise today. And a bigger one for all of you tomorrow."
In April last year, she spoke to People Magazine about what she does to age gracefully. Martha Stewart, a member of QVC's Quintessential 50, which is a group of women that celebrates those above the age of 50, told the outlet:
QVC "has done a very good job of reaching many, many millions of people, but especially women over 50." She continued, "When QVC came up with this idea, it was just so appropriate to me — look what I've done since I was 50. I started my big business when I was 50. Thirty years later, I am still creating businesses, selling amazing products and writing my 100th book. I'm one of the perfect people for QVC."
As for what she does for herself, Martha Stewart said:
"My feeling about good looks and about good health is that you have to start early — so 50 is a very good time to start! I try to live a very healthy life. I eat extremely well. I take care of myself. I go to the gym no matter what, four times a week. I take care of my skin very, very well, and everybody can do that. It's not like I spend a fortune on any of that stuff, but I managed to do it because it's going to make a difference and I'm going to live longer and healthier."
