Veterinary technician Laura Sigler was previously in a relationship with Keith Urban, after which he started dating Nicole Kidman. Her 2006 interview has now resurfaced in light of Keith Urban's ongoing divorce from Nicole Kidman. In her interview with The Sun, Laura Sigler opened up about how difficult her relationship with Keith Urban was, saying:

"Nicole and Keith might date for a while — but it won’t last very long. I don't know her, but I know him very well. There were a lot of lows with the drugs. I don't have any dark past – he was probably the darkest part, but I'm on my own now and I'm happy about that."

Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman were married for nineteen years until they announced their divorce. According to People Magazine, the couple were first linked in 2005, after which they tied the knot in 2006. They share two daughters, Faith Margaret and Sunday Rose. On September 29, a source close to the couple confirmed their separation, after which Nicole Kidman announced her divorce, citing "incorrigible differances."

Laura Sigler now leads a life away from the spotlight. According to People Magazine, Laura Sigler dated Keith Urban sometime in the 1990s. Not much is known about their relationship, but the couple were together for around eight years, making it the country singer's first public relationship. It is also reported that the two were engaged for a short time before calling it off.

In her 2006 interview following Keith Urban's engagement to Nicole Kidman, Sigler sat down for an interview with The Daily Mail and revealed more about her insight into Urban's relationship with Nicole Kidman. She said:

"He had numerous flings while we were together. He is very attractive and when he talks the talk, he can be very seductive. But I am not sure Keith will ever be ready to settle down."

In the interview, she further added that although Keith Urban talked about starting a family, there was a "dark side" to him that could affect his relationship with Nicole Kidman. She said:

"He talks about having a family but there is a dark side to him. He was a drunk and a drug user. He has an addictive personality and always wants more. I am not sure he can make any one woman happy."

According to People Magazine, Keith Urban had moved out of the couple's family home a few months before the couple announced their divorce, while Nicole Kidman continues to live with their daughters in Nashville, Tennessee.
