Who is Leah Remini’s ex-husband Angelo Pagan? All we know as actress opens up about divorce

The King of Queens actress, Leah Remini, in an interview with US Weekly, opened up about a bunch of things, including her relationship with the Church of Scientology and her divorce from Angelo Pagan. Remini is widely known for her roles as Vanessa Cellucci and Carrie Heffernan in the CBS sitcoms Kevin Can Wait and King of Queens. The 55-year-old actress, who was also a member of the Church of Scientology, left the organization founded by L. Ron Hubbard in 2013.

Hollywood A-listers like Tom Cruise and John Travolta are still members of the controversial Church of Scientology. Remini's decade-long relationship with the organization, which she joined as a young girl, hasn't been the best. After leaving the organization, she took it upon herself to expose the abusive practices that go on inside the Church of Scientology. In August 2023, Leah Remini filed a lawsuit against the organization, accusing it of pestering her and her daughter Sofia. She also mentioned to US Weekly that they're constantly being surveilled by the Church.

Leah Remini was married to actor Angelo Pagan for 21 long years, with whom she shares her 20-year-old daughter, Sofia. Pagan, who is an actor, a singer, and a restaurateur, met Remini in 1996 at an LA-based Cuban club called El Floridita. After proposing to Remini in 2002, both of them tied the knot on July 19, 2003, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Las Vegas.

Stan the Man actor, Pagan was previously married to Elaine Aviles and Raquel Williams. He shares children with both of them. Angelo, who began his acting career in the 1980s, earned a number of small roles in several television movies and shows. Not to mention, he has also appeared alongside Leah Remini in popular shows like Kevin Can Wait, In the Motherhood, and King of Queens. Pagan, besides being an actor, has also been a singer and restaurateur. He has been running Vivian's Millennium Cafe since 1999 in California, along with Leah's family members.

After a 21-year-long marriage, the Living Doll actress Leah Remini finalized their divorce in August 2024. It was Remini who filed for divorce from Pagan. They eventually split in October of the same year. Both of them took to Instagram to break the news of their divorce and said:

"Well, here we are. After 28 years together and 21 years of marriage, we have decided to file for divorce. This decision came after a lot of thought and care, and as hard as divorce is, we are approaching this with a positive outlook because we know it’s what’s best for us."

While Remini and Pagan were still together, he supported and was with her during all her tough times. In 2013, when Remini decided to quit the controversial Church of Scientology, Pagan supported and stood by her throughout. He was with her through thick and thin and also supported her on social media.
