More about Lyrics Anderson, as the actress posts an update about graduating from law school
In her post, Lyric Anderson thanked her family, particularly her grandmother, for her wise words, as she reflected on how, despite the trials and tribulations, she had finally completed her J.D. degree. In her post, she wrote:
"Over the past few weeks, I’ve reflected on how much this milestone means—not only for me, but also for my bloodline. Awhile ago, I was looking through an old box of cards and found a birthday card from my grandma, from years prior to her passing. Among other things, she wrote: “I know you’ll be successful, because your feet have made it where mine did not.” I will remember those words for the rest of my life."
She further added:
"Reaching this milestone took a lot of prayer, endurance, and work. There were times I questioned if law school was the right choice. I now understand that the choice was divine, and this moment is bigger than me. It represents something new for those who came before me and those who will come after. Thank you God. I’m ready for what’s next. ❤️"
Lyric Chanel Anderson was born on September 30, 1994, to actress Tami Roman and NBA champion Kenny Anderson, an All-Star point guard who played for the Brooklyn Nets and Boston Celtics. Her parents married in 1994 and were together for seven years before divorcing in 2001. Lyric Anderson has a younger sister, Jazz Anderson, who is a rapper and actress.
Following in her mother's footsteps, who has appeared in a range of reality TV shows, Lyric Anderson made her first appearance on "Basketball Wives," alongside her sister. In a 2019 interview with Bianca Bee, Lyric Anderson discussed the most memorable part of appearing on the "Basketball Wives." She said:
"There are a lot of scenes that people don't see. There was this like charity scene in Basketball Wives, where we worked with an organization that you know spoken word empowers young girls, and I was a part of that organization. I was just like really happy about that."
Earlier this year, in an exclusive interview with BrownStyle Magazine, Lyric Anderson opened up about how she balanced her acting career while pursuing a graduate law degree. She said:
"I prioritize self-care through mindfulness and intentional routines like carving out time for rest, eating nourishing meals, staying hydrated, and praying. Your body can’t function properly without rest. I love to get under the covers and have a day of doing nothing but sleeping. I had to unplug from everyone else’s areas of concern to focus on my list of priorities. It saves me from energy depletion."
Lyric Anderson currently stars in "The Haus of Vicious," where she plays Tia alongside her mother, Tami Roman, who plays Chantel Vivian.
In the same interview, the model credited her mother, Tami Roman, as the best advisor she could ever ask for, someone who has supported her every step of the way. She said:
"She’s my go-to acting coach and advisor. She’s been in the game for 28+ years and always reminds me that success isn’t overnight—it takes hustle, tenacity, and constant learning."
In the interview, Anderson also discussed the process of portraying a complex character like Tia. She said:
"Portraying Tia requires tapping into deep emotional layers, which can be both rewarding and draining,”
In her interview with BrownStyle Magazine, Lyric Anderson revealed that after graduating with her Law degree, she hopes to help people in the industry navigate and better understand their contracts, ensuring they avoid potential disadvantages. She also shared that she is currently writing the plot for a holiday movie based on her own experiences.
