Who are Matthew Perry’s parents? Late actor’s mother and stepfather attend Jasveen Sangha court hearing

As per a recent article by People Magazine, late actor Matthew Perry's mother, Suzanne Morrison, and stepfather, Keith Morrison, attended Jasveen Sangha's court hearing.

Sangha is the fifth person associated with Matthew Perry's death. As per reports, the reason for Perry's death was a drug overdose.

For those unaware, Matthew's father, John Bennett Perry, is a retired actor. His stepfather, Keith Morrison, worked as a correspondent at Dateline since 1995, while his mother, Suzanne Morrison, was a press secretary before marrying Bennett.

As per The Associated Press, after agreeing to a plea deal with the federal prosecutors, Jasveen Sangha, also known as the 'Ketamine Queen,' was charged with one count of maintaining a drug-involved premise, one count of distribution of ketamine, and three counts of distribution of ketamine, which resulted in serious body injury and death.

Sangha is accused of distributing ketamine, which was the reason for Perry's death. Prosecutors claim Sangha supplied ketamine to Erik Fleming, an intermediary between Sangha and Kenneth Iwamasa, Perry's live-in manager, who gave the drug to Perry.

As per The Associated Press, this was Suzanne and Keith's first attendance at the court proceedings following the announcement of indictments a year ago.

Matthew Perry was found dead on October 28, 2023, due to an accidental drug overdose. He was found in the jacuzzi at his Los Angeles home with his face floating downside in the pool, the night of the overdose.

Matthew Perry was born in 1969 to John Bennett Perry and Suzanne Morrison. Suzanne and John separated after a year of Perry's birth, and Suzanne went on to remarry Keith Morrison in 1981, while John Bennett Perry went ahead and married Debbie the same year.

Matthew and his father, John Bennett Perry, shared the screen many times. In fact, John also appeared on the hit sitcom Friends in 1998. Matthew Perry played the character of Chandler Bing in the hit show.

Matthew's mother, Suzanne, worked as a press secretary for former Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau. She was also a former beauty queen and was crowned Miss Canadian University Snow Queen back when she was a student at the University of Toronto in 1996.

“When I was 5 years old, my parents put me on a plane alone from Montreal to Los Angeles. And I was terrified, My feet didn’t even touch the floor. And then when I saw the lights of the city, I knew we were landing, that my dad was going to pick me up, and I’d have a parent again.” Matthew told People Magazine in an interview on October 2022 as Matthew recalled shuttling back and forth between his mother and father who had moved to California.
