Michael Flynn Jr., known for his conservative posts on X, recently used the platform to write about Pride Month. Using a Parks and Recreation meme, the user tried to propagate a negative message about the month-long commemoration of LGBTQ+ people. Flynn Jr shared a clip of Ron Swanson dumping a computer in the trash bin and wrote,
“Good morning and Happy Sunday! No quotes today. Just wanted to post how I feel about “pride” month.”
Nick Offerman, who portrayed Ron Swanson, was quick to lambast Michael Flynn Jr. over the anti-LGBTQ+ meme, as he quoted his post and replied,
“Ron was best man at a gay wedding you dumb f*ck. #HappyPride”

Offerman is well-known for his work in showbiz, including projects like Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning, The Last of Us, Civil War, The Founder, and more. At the same time, Michael Flynn Jr. is the son of former US Army Lieutenant General Michael Flynn.
His father was also an NSA under Trump, who got fired within 24 days of his appointment. It was alleged that he misled then-VP Mike Pence regarding his communications with Sergey Kislyak, the concurrent Russian Ambassador. Trump, the outgoing president in 2020, pardoned Lt. General Flynn in November after he pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about his contacts with Russia, the BBC reported then.

Like his father, Michael Flynn Jr. was also one of Donald Trump’s aides in 2016, after The Apprentice (TV show) star won the presidential election. The conservative influencer was on the then-president-elect's transition team but was fired in the wake of a fake news controversy around the Pizzagate conspiracy theory. According to NBC News, Michael Flynn Jr. was also subject to a federal investigation of Russian meddling in the 2016 election.
For those unaware, he was once reportedly a part of his father’s lobbying firm, Flynn Intel Group. According to Distractify, Michael Flynn Jr. served as chief of staff for the firm. He was also a part of Flynn, a documentary based on his father’s life.
Internet reacts after Nick Offerman calls out Michael Flynn Jr. for his anti-LGBTQ+ X post

The conservative social media influencer garnered criticism from many on X, including the actor behind Ron Swanson. Nick Offerman’s response garnered the attention of many on the platform, as they gave their opinion on the matter.
“You’re such a king [you dropped this],” a user appreciated Nick.
“HELL YEA HAPPY PRIDE,” another user added.
“I always love when a creator/writer/actor slams someone for misusing their character,” someone expressed their opinion.
“Source?,” another one joked.
A user sarcastically asked Ron Swanson (Nick Offerman) to keep it civil,
“Ron, Big Guy, amigo, this is a family friendly platform. Please keep it clean.”
Another user shared The Simpsons’ “He’s already dead” meme and posted laughing emojis,
“😂😂😂😂😂 [Stop, stop! He’s already dead.]”
Someone explained,
“Ron Swanson was a libertarian. He would be in support of LGBT and respect freedom of expression and property rights.”
Michael Flynn Jr. reposted the meme again, but the Parks and Recreation actor hasn’t responded yet.
