American former NFL star and television host Michael Strahan couldn't be happier and thrilled as his twin daughters, Sophia and Isabella, turn 21. The 53-year-old Strahan, who is also a journalist, celebrated his twin daughter's 21st birthday on Instagram by sharing a carousel post with pictures of him with her daughters.

Michael Strahan, who played as a defensive end for the New York Giants, had a successful 15-year-long career in the National Football League. In his Instagram carousel post, Strahan, who is widely known for co-anchoring the popular ABC chat show Good Morning America, wrote:

"Someone tell me how these two are 21?!?! Where has time gone! Happy birthday @isabellastrahan and @sophialstrahan! Love you both more than an Instagram post can ever say! LOL ❤️❤️❤️❤️."

While Strahan celebrated his twin daughters' birthday on Instagram, netizens became curious about learning more about his children. The former National Football League star, Michael Strahan, who is the father of four, shares his older children, daughter Tanita (33) and son Michael Jr. (31), with his first wife, Wanda Hutchins, with whom he was married from 1992 to 1996.

Strahan later tied the knot with his second wife, Jean Muggli, with whom he shares his twin daughters: Isabella and Sophia. They were together for seven years, from 1999 to 2006. Isabella, who was born on October 28, 2004, along with Sophia, was brought up in North Carolina and North Dakota.

While Strahan considers Isabella the calmer one, she attended a New York City high school. During her high school days, she began her modeling career and made her runway debut in April 2022 at the Sherry Hill Fashion Show. Isabella was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer, and had to undergo surgery to get rid of it. As of July 2024, Isabella is cancer-free.

Sophia, on the other hand, who, according to Strahan, has a curious mind, is also smart, just like Isabella. She grew up in Wilmington, North Carolina, and has a passion for horse riding. Following her high school graduation, Sophia took to her Instagram and broke the news that she has plans to enroll in Duke University.

Tanita, the oldest of all the children, was born in Germany in 1991. After returning to the US, she attended high school in Houston. Later, she attended the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, from which she graduated with a degree in Design and Visual Communication. She currently lives in LA and has had her first kid, a son named Onyx.

Strahan's only son, Michael Jr, born in 1994, also grew up in Germany. He returned to the US when he was 11. After finishing high school, he attended the University of Texas in San Antonio and eventually settled in New York.

Michael Strahan loves being a Dad

The prominent television host, Strahan, made it clear that he loves being a father. During an interview with People Magazine in 2016, Strahan said:

"My kids give me strength. I love being with the kids. To me, it's all about family, now more than anything."

In a more recent interview with the outlet, Michael Strahan opened up about his daughter, Isabella's, brain cancer diagnosis, saying:

"She was thin and tired and bald and all the things you hate to see your kid go through. Her spirit was there. One of the things she said, probably the hardest thing. I had to hear was, 'Dad I’ll do whatever. I want to live.'"
