Michelle Pfeiffer, who reportedly has four projects currently in the works, per IMDB, continued on her latest podcast appearance,
“If I had known that I was going to be a grandmother, I wouldn’t have taken on so much work, but I’ve enjoyed everything and I’m really grateful. I love each of these projects.”
The actress had initially taken a hiatus from acting when she welcomed her kids, but made a comeback when they grew up. During a conversation with Interview in 2017, she said:
"I'm an empty nester now. I've never lost my love for acting. I feel really at home on the movie set. I'm a more balanced person, honestly, when I'm working. But I was pretty careful about where I shot and how long I was away, whether or not it worked out with the kids' schedule. And I got so picky that I was unhirable. And then ... I don't know, time just went on ... I disappeared, yeah."
In 2023, while speaking on The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast, Michelle Pfeiffer credited her children with pushing her to take on more roles again:
"So I remember actually it was my kids," she said. "They said, 'Mom, are you ever gonna go back to work?' I said, 'What do you mean? Isn't it great that I'm home?' "
As for her husband, she had just met him when she was adopting Claudia.
'It was sort of perfectly timed. I mean, it's a real testament to the kind of person he is,' said Michelle Pfeiffer, per The Daily Mail, 'but also to the fact that sometimes the traditional way of doing things isn't always the best way.'
