Miles Bridges, who was previously married to social media creator Mychelle Johnson, is now rumored to have welcomed a daughter with his ex-wife. The news of his daughter's birth comes just months after Bridges welcomed twin sons in May with his current girlfriend, Shara Bowden. Johnson took to Instagram to celebrate the birth of her daughter, who was born earlier this month on August 2. In her post, she wrote:

"I can't believe the last time I've been this happy in a long time, i feel so whole 🥺❤️ this year's greatest blessing 8/2, two weeks of loving on you my sweet girl."

Miles Bridges has played for the Charlotte Hornets since being drafted in 2018, when he signed a $16.3 million contract for a period of four years. In 2023, he was suspended for thirty games for his alleged involvement in a domestic violence dispute with his then-wife, Mychelle Johnson. Since his suspension was lifted, Miles Bridges has gone on to play for the team and, in July 2024, was once again signed by the Charlotte Hornets.

More about Miles Bridges and Mychelle Johnson's relationship, as the NBA player welcomes three children with his girlfriend and ex-wife just months apart

Miles Bridges and Mychelle Johnson started dating before he achieved fame in his professional career. The couple married later, although the exact details of their marriage are not known. In 2018, they welcomed their first child, a son named Ace, and two years later, in 2020, they welcomed their second child, a daughter named Ayla. The couple later welcomed another child but chose not to share the details publicly.

In July 2022, it was revealed that Miles Bridges had been arrested on a domestic violence charge. Shortly after, Mychelle Johnson took to Instagram to share, in a now-deleted post, pictures of the injuries allegedly caused by Bridges. She wrote:

"I hate that it has come to this but I can't be silent anymore. I've allowed someone to destroy my home, abuse me in every way possible and traumatize our kids for life. It hurts my heart because I've always had hope, and so much love and as scary as this is for me to do it's time I stand up for myself.I won't be silent to protect others anymore because I value myself and my kids more than anyones 'image."

Miles Bridges later pleaded not guilty to the charges and was given a three-year probation, which he allegedly violated just a few months later. The NBA player, who was given a thirty-game suspension by the NBA, later apologized for the incident. He said:

"I want to apologize to everybody for the pain and embarrassment that I have caused everyone, especially my family. This year away I’ve used to prioritize going to therapy and becoming the best person I can be — someone that my family and everyone here can be proud of. A lot of people don’t get a second chance, and I want to use this second chance to prove to everyone that I’m the same kid you drafted five years ago."

According to Essentially Sports, Bridges was found in violation of his probation after allegedly throwing billiard balls at Mychelle Johnson's car while she was in the vehicle with her children. Surprisingly, just a year later, she publicly supported Miles after a fan suggested he should not play in the NBA. In a lengthy message, she took to X (formerly Twitter) to speak up in his defense, writing:

"I'm the one who spoke out almost a year ago and sometimes I wish I didn't. Seeing the way people treat others and considering I'll always have love fr Miles. Our kids love him but it also hurts me to see the constant bashing and tearing down on him. He's a human being just like us all, I make mistakes."

She further added:

"You do, we all do. He's not a woman beater. If you asked me to describe him, that word would never come to my mind. He's never, ever abused out children. We all have our flaws and he's not perfect but overall, he is a good person. And no, he didn't ask me to say any of this, I chose to. I'm the reason for the bashing and hopefully I can be the reason for an open heart."

After separating from Mychelle Johnson, Miles Bridges started dating Shara Bowden, who announced in February of this year that she was pregnant. In the following month, Mychelle Johnson also announced her pregnancy, prompting fans to speculate about the child's father. In her post, she wrote:

"BABYGIRL💘,"

In the comment section of her post, Mychelle Johnson confirmed that Miles Bridges was, in fact, the father of the child. Neither Bridges nor his current partner, Shara Bowden, has commented on Johnson welcoming a child with Bridges at the same time as Bowden.

On her Instagram Stories, Mychelle Johnson has recently shared a video from her birth, writing that it was her eldest son, Ace, who was by her side as she welcomed her daughter, Ashiya, earlier this month.
