Natasha Richardson's mom and Liam Neeson's mother-in-law, Vanessa Redgrave, is all smiles in a rare new video. Redgrave's daughter, Joely, took to Instagram on Wednesday, July 30, to share a video of her 88-year-old mother sitting on a bench while petting a dog.
Joely, 60, captioned her post:
“‘When the heart is cut or cracked or broken, do not clutch it, let the wound lie open.’ Leunig. For some reason these words from the poem came to me- simple summer morning. Mum wearing my PEACE tshirt,” Joely wrote. “Bare feet on grass, and astonishment at my little apple tree. It’s about 2 feet tall, and I picked 8 apples off it that day all deliciously edible. Small wonders. Enough to keep going. 1 foot in front of other. X. #apple #tree #appletrees #prayers.”
As reported by Us Weekly, Redgrave had three kids: Natasha, Joely, and Carlo Gabriel Nero. Natasha died in 2009 at the age of 45 in a ski accident. She was married to Liam Neeson, and the two shared two sons.

Liam Neeson's romance with Pamela Anderson explored
Liam Neeson stayed single for 16 years after his wife's passing. Recently he struck up a romantic bond with The Naked Gun costar and famed model Pamela Anderson, a source told Us Weekly.
The Oscar nominee, 71, recently spoke to The New York Times, where he reminisced on falling in love with Natasha. In the profile that came out this Thursday, he recalled working with his late wife on Broadway for the revival of the play Anna Christie. He said,
"It was great doing it every night with her and falling in love."
The pair tied the knot in 1994 and later welcomed their sons, Michael and Daniel. Natasha, most known for her work on The Parent Trap, had been taking a beginner's skiing lesson at a Mont Tremblant resort in Canada. However, she tragically hit her head in an accident, leaving her with a traumatic brain injury, which she eventually succumbed to.
As for his romance with Anderson, during a recent appearance on the Today Show, Liam Neeson was asked about it, to which he jokingly said,
"What? I don't understand the question. I had never met Pamela before. We met on set. And we discovered we had a lovely, budding chemistry as two actors. Like, 'oh, this is nice. Let's not mould this. Let's just let it breathe,' and that's what we did."
Liam Neeson previously told People Magazine,
"With Pamela, first off, I'm madly in love with her. She's just terrific to work with. I can't compliment her enough, I'll be honest with you. She's funny and so easy to work with."
A source told Us Weekly on Tuesday, July 29, of the pair:
“Pamela and Liam are dating. They always had chemistry while they were filming and their friendship naturally developed into more.” The insider continued, “They are both shy and have tried to stay private, but the spark between them is obvious.”
