Mexican football manager and ex-striker Omar Bravo was arrested by the Specialized Deputy Prosecutor's Office for Women, Girls, Boys, and Adolescents on the allegations of the sexual abuse of a minor in Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico, on October 4, 2025.

According to CNN, Bravo, 45, has been accused of assaulting a teenage girl on several occasions earlier this year. He is also suspected of having committed similar misconduct in the past, as per the ongoing investigations conducted by the Jalisco State Attorney General’s Office.

Omar Bravo, who has been identified as Omar “N” in the case, is currently in police custody at the Puente Grande Prison and is expected to appear in court soon for his formal indictment.

Bravo is married to Pammela Olivares Camarena. They have a 10-year-old son named Liam, as per Tunota.

According to the Associated Press, there aren’t any reports on Omar Bravo’s reaction to the allegations and arrest, nor has his family responded to the same.

In the wake of the accusations, Bravo’s fans have taken to social media to express their disappointment and shock, while others refused to believe the allegations.

According to Marca, Omar Bravo has been married to Pamela Olivares Camarena since 2012. They dated for several years before tying the knot. Her profession remains unknown as she maintains a low profile.

However, social media reveals she enjoys playing paddle tennis and accompanies her husband to sporting events. Together, Omar and Pamela have a son named Liam Omar, born in 2015.

Bravo is also a father to a daughter named Sherlyn, born in 2003, whom he shares with his ex-girlfriend, Claudia Veronica Hernandez. Reportedly, Sherlyn has declined to use her father’s surname and has publicly revealed that she doesn’t share a close relationship with Omar. Tunoto claimed in an article that the former soccer player hadn’t responded to Sherlyn’s attempt to contact him.

As per Marca, Omar has previously appeared on social media with a girl named Roma, presumed to be his other daughter.

Omar Bravo was born in March 1980 in Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico. He made his debut for the Mexican soccer team Chivas de Guadalajara in 2001 and became famous as the club’s leading goal scorer with 160 goals in 400 games.

Later, Bravo also played for other Mexican and American clubs, including Deportivo La Coruna, Tigres UANL, Sporting Kansas City, Cruz Azul, North Carolina, Phoenix Rising, UdeG, and Atlas.

Omar represented his country in the 2004 Athens Olympics and the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany. During his international career, the striker scored 15 goals in 67 matches and also took part in the 2007 Gold Cup and the Copa America that same year.

In 2013, he retired from football. Later, Bravo pursued a career as a manager of the National Independent Soccer Association club Arizona Monsoon FC in 2004, before leaving it late last year.
