Who was Pamela Genini? Boyfriend and all about Italian model allegedly stabbed to death by partner

Pamela Genini was allegedly murdered by her partner and businessman, Gianluca Soncin, at her apartment in the Gorla neighbourhood in Milan, Italy, on the night of October 14, as reported by The New York Post.

Genini was a model, reality TV star, and entrepreneur.

According to The Sun, Genini, 29, suffered at least 24 stab wounds across her body. The accused, Soncin, reportedly tried to harm himself after killing his girlfriend.

The murder took place after a heated exchange between the couple. When the local police arrived, they found Genini nearly dead and Soncin, 52, with a throat injury, who was then taken to a hospital and is now stable.

She was later declared dead at the scene. Meanwhile, Soncin has now been arrested and charged with voluntary manslaughter, among other charges.

According to the Italian website Agenzia Dire, Pamela Genini was born and raised in Strozza, a town in rural Italy in the Bergamo province. She moved to Milan as an 18-year-old to pursue a career in fashion modelling.

Later, Genini also became an entrepreneur and founded the swimwear brand EP SheLux with her close friend and influencer Elisa Bortolotti. She also worked for a real estate agency and helped clients rent properties or luxury resorts on the beach.

Pamela Genini appeared on the Deejay TV dating reality series L'isola di Adamo ed Eva, or The Island of Adam and Eve, at the age of 19. The show’s host, Vladimir Luxuria, told the publication that he was “devastated” to hear the news and remembers the model for her “beauty, cheerfulness, and smile.”

"She was a ray of sunshine, a wonderful person with everyone: with me, with the writers, with the technicians," Luxuria recalled.

According to The Sun, Pamela Genini’s next-door neighbors told local outlets that she was arguing with her boyfriend, Gianluca Soncin, and reportedly told him that she wanted to break up. Later, they saw a man leaving the apartment angrily.

Subsequently, he returned, dragged her to the terrace, and stabbed her multiple times, as witnessed by the neighbors, who later called the cops. The case is currently under investigation.

Meanwhile, unionesarda.it reported that Genini feared for her life and allegedly told her ex-boyfriend and confidant, Teso Francesco, that if she left Soncin, he would “kill me.” Ahead of her fatal stabbing, she also asked Teso for “help” and mentioned Gianluca having a “duplicate key” and trying to break into her apartment, urging him to call the police.

When officers arrived, they found her injured on the floor, and she later died at the scene. He is now being held at the San Vittore prison and is facing multiple felonies, such as murder aggravated by premeditation, frivolous motives, a romantic relationship, cruelty, and stalking.

It remains unknown whether Genini and Soncin lived together. However, they began dating in March 2024. Gianluca was a native of Biella and had a criminal record for luxury car fraud and assault, dating back to 2010. He was a luxury entrepreneur who worked in the auto industry.

Reportedly, Gianluca Soncin was previously violent and possessive about Pamela and threatened to kill her, her parents, and her dog. Besides, he also tried to compel her to leave her job and move in with him in Cervia.
