Who is Paris Hilton's husband? Entrepreneur-socialite praises 'nerds' when asked about dating advice and red flags

Paris Hilton expressed approval of “nerds” during her appearance on the June 26 episode of the podcast, The Burnout. Hilton’s praise came when the hosts, Phoebe Gates and Sophia Kianni, asked her about dating and red flags. The entrepreneur also noted that her husband fully supports her and doesn’t display insecurities like some of her ex-boyfriends.

Paris Hilton is married to Carter Reum. Hilton tied the knot with the businessman and author in 2021 after two years of dating.

Reum worked as an investment banker at Goldman Sachs for two years, according to InStyle. After leaving Goldman Sachs, Reum founded the liquor company VeeV Acai Spirit alongside his brother, Courtney Reum, as per Huffington Post.

Reum also started an early-stage venture capital firm, M13, with his brother in 2016. He and Courtney channeled their business insights into a book, Shortcut Your Startup, which they wrote together.

Paris Hilton’s dating advice

When asked by Phoebe Gates and Sophia Kianni of The Burnout about dating advice and red flags, Paris Hilton said,

“You want to find, like, the boys from like a small town who are just like sweet and kind and don’t have all these like dating apps and weird things. It would be so hard to trust somebody that’s like one of those guys, like wants to go out all the time, and just kind of like, I don’t know, I think nerds are where it’s at.”

Hilton was also asked about how she and Carter Reum manage to juggle their demanding careers with their relationship. In response, Hilton shared,

“You know, some men get very insecure and it’s hard to be with a successful woman. And he is the opposite of any other person I’ve been with, which is an amazing feeling, just to feel so supported and so lifted up, or anything is possible.”

Hilton has spoken elsewhere about the balance that exists in her marriage. During an episode of the I Am Paris podcast, the socialite noted,

“Well, we both work so hard. So it’s nice to be with someone who's also working hard so they're not always being like, ‘Oh you're not paying attention to me.’ It's like, I'm working but we’re always like, talking with each other about everything and I just feel lucky to have someone who's my best friend who I can ask for advice and I just I’m grateful to have you by my side.”

About Paris Hilton and Carter Reum’s relationship

Paris Hilton was already acquainted with Carter Reum long before the pair even started dating. During a conversation with People Magazine in 2020, Hilton recounted how she began a relationship with Reum, and said,

“I've known him for 15 years. Then [Reum's sister Halle Hammond] invited us to Thanksgiving and we just had this incredible chemistry. We had our first date and haven't spent a night apart since. It's pretty amazing.”

Hilton also shared why she thought Reum was ‘the one’ for her. While speaking to People Magazine, she noted,

“I don't think I was ready for it before. I just always wanted what my mom and dad have. They're best friends, he's so loyal. I was always looking for that, but I was looking in the wrong places…Carter actually reminds me of my dad! He makes me feel safe and happy. I finally found the right one.”

Paris Hilton and Carter Reum share two children together, a son named Phoenix and a daughter named London.
